The Cottage at Bear Butte Gardens is located on a farm alongside beautiful Bear Butte State Park just outside of Sturgis. This is a newly constructed private studio space with all of the amenities and easy access just off Highway 79. Guests can enjoy morning sunrises, tea or coffee on the front porch, bird watching during the day, and star gazing at night uninhibited by street lights.

The space
Enjoy breathtaking views of Bear Butte (Mato Paha) and sunrises from inside The Cottage or on the front porch. During your stay

The Cottage has a private entrance for guests, but we are not far away if you would like a quick (prearranged) tour of the farm and gardens. This is a working farm with poultry, cattle, sheep, and goats as well as an organic garden/greenhouse business, so we keep busy while you are vacationing and enjoy the sights of the Black Hills. The Groseks all grew up in the northern Black Hills area and are happy to assist you with ideas for meals, excursions, trails, etc. Stop by the local Chamber of Commerce to visit with our daughter Veronica, the Executive Director, for even more local information!
