I would say my overall experience has been good. Sam was really good about being flexible on the check in time, which was a huge plus. The apartment overall is alright, it might be on the old side. There's no central air only a heater, which makes things quite cold in the winter. Also, the 50 dollars cleaning fee seems a bit excessive to me.
Beware, this place is dirty, shabby, and in desperate need of a through cleaning and a paint job. Despite parking being noted on the amenities list as being included and in the building, it is across the street and we were charged $15 dollars daily. When we tried to discuss with the host that parking was listed as being included, he pointed out that it was noted as being available in the ad, but he would not acknowledge that it was listed as being free in the amenities list. The bed was hard, the pillows thin, there were no face cloths. The only toiletteries was a bottle of liquid soap.
The guests showed their complete satisfactions when they arrive and moved-in to my place. Once I asked them to pay the Parking fees they start to argue about the parking should be included in the price.. And didn't want to pay it.
The Parking is listed as available but not included as this apartment doesn't come with a perking spot but another owner in the building rent his spot daily..so I got them the parking and they didn't want to pay it and start argue and start complain ...and when they finally paid it coz they had no other choice, they decided to write anything to complain & the review they wrote is completely incorrect, for the apartment is very clean and newly renovated and very tidy.
I was disappointed at their actions and they way acted.
Great little pad right in the heart of the city. Super convenient. The hosts were fantastic. My plane arrived very late and they still met me with the key and got me set up. Would stay there again in a second.
Key to get in building was not working, however that was the buildings issues still annoying tho. Parking was so cheap $10 a day. Great location. Cleaning fee to me means place will be clean..it was OK. Mark was great to deal with. Location was awesome. It worked for us very well.
This is a great location.
Also, the unit is on a high floor so it had minimal street noise.
But, the unit itself could use some updating.
\We really enjoyed our stay at Urbano's College Fountain View suite. The location is great - easy to get to by public transit from anywhere (including the airport) and within walking distance of downtown, Kensington Market, U of T, the ROM, the AGO....everything we wanted to see and do. And there's a Bixie Bike station right across Yonge St. from the building! The apartment is nice...clean and quiet with a great view. I really appreciate how accommodating both Sam and his friend, Mark, are. Mark took a break from work to get us into the apartment and was most gracious and Sam provided us with the Fountain View suite when our originally booked suite became unavailable. I would happily arrange accommodation with them again.
This is the second time I've stayed in one of Sam's apartments and they always make for a great experience. This apartment was right in the middle of everything. I had to run around the city a lot while I was there and the convenience here was perfect. Plus with tons of restos, bars and shopping right there I had a blast. I will definitely be using Sam's listings again in the future.
"Beyond the expected". Dealing with Urbano was super-duper. Ideal location with all the essentials without extra fluff. Quick, efficient service. Easy check-in and check-out. And a potential schedule conflict was resolved in my favor with an upgrade to a better unit at no extra charge. I like being spoiled that way! So will you.
the studios psition was ideal in this classy area ,it was so clean
and organised, sam from urbano suites has meat me in the exact time
he gave me after i called him he was so helpful when we requested some cooking items .
The location is great, as a subway station is literally next door, and you can walk along bloor and next to starbucks and restaurants etc. The apartment itself is very basic but very comfortable too, if you are looking for somewhere to cook, then you shouldn't stay here since there were like 3 plates and pots, but I didn't mind buying food everyday. When we first got there the place was missing towels, but we asked him to provide more towels etc etc and he immediately did so and dropped off toilet paper and soap. My only problem with the place was that the air conditioner didn't work, he told us since the first day someone would come fix it, and that while we were out he said someone did come to fix it, but trust me it wasn't fixed... the air was very still and hot. But overall the place is good if your looking for somewhere convenient to stay! And the sheets were nice and soft! (not as bad as what other ppl said)
