Comfortable&clean tiny room. Kitchen is just perfect. The location also very convenient, close to the Red Line.
This is a great little room for the price. It's not a five star hotel but the host Kelly does a great job of looking after the place and making sure everyone is happy. Plenty of fridge space, enough crockery and cooking utensils and easy access to the laundry services makes it an easy fit for a longer stay. There were some wifi issues initially but they were quickly sorted out and Kelly was on hand for any other problems.
Reasonable Price and the environment is nice
The private room is comfortable and quiet. Neighbourhood is secure enough. Location is superb, near to the Metro and other public transport.I used the kitchen which was clean. The host was very cordial. Only issue was that I travelled during winter and the room became cold in the night. Its better to carry your own bed sheets & cover with you. Overall a great property where you can have you own private space.
Kelly was extremely helpful and on top of everything. I booked the place for a week in anticipation of my move to Los Angeles, but would only wound up staying for three nights since I found a permanent spot elsewhere. The remaining four days were refunded. I cannot give Ryan and Kelly a higher rating.
Perfect location but the neighbourhood itself is dead as a dodo. Nothing exciting in the immediate vicinity. The place has everything you need and perfect for backpackers or students with low demands. If you're used to a place a bit more tidy and clean, this may be not for you.
Kelly was extremely helpful during the entire stay.
i have been L.A at the first time and stay single room. the room is simple and clean. the parking is very good in gate with key.
I had a terrible experience here. My room was small, the walls were dirty, and due to its location, I was up all night hearing people in the bathroom or kitchen. The host was not very helpful. One of the bathrooms has black mold on the ceiling, and I found three cockroaches. Also, it's not in Hollywood- but rather Korea Town. The kitchen was so gross that I ate out for every meal (even though it got expensive). The stairs in the back feel like they could break any moment. I wound enthusiastically advise you to find another place!!
My friend and I stayed in a spacious room downstairs for 2 nights in mid-September, which easily accommodated 2 people and had ample space for all of our belongings. The room was super clean and the fan was sufficient to keep cool on warm nights. We had use of the spacious and clean kitchen just outside of the room, which was great. There were 2 bathrooms directly opposite our room which was brilliant, both clean and one very spacious.
We came back a few days later and stayed in an alright room upstairs. It was much smaller and more cramped than the first and the fan was incredibly loud (but necessary to have on at night anyway as it was warm). Another kitchen outside the room which was great, as per the one downstairs. Again, 2 bathrooms opposite our bedroom; although the larger of the shower had an awful shower that could do with being replaced! Used the cheap and fast laundry facilities too, which were good.
This place is good value and we were able to make a quick booking right at the last minute.
The best thing about this place is location; just 2 blocks away from Wilshire/Vermont intersection where you can get MetroRail trains all over LA, as well as super frequent MetroRapid buses (although this is Los Angeles so be aware that when carless, you spend a long, long time traveling from one place to another!)!
Be sure to ask Kelly (the host and manager of the building) when she will be home (and able to let you in) as we spent a few hours sat outside the gate upon our arrival in the middle of the day, really tired and just wanting a shower, until she got back.
Unbeatable budget option in LA. I spent 10 days at Ryan and Kelly's and don't have any complain. Expectations according to rate.
