The Space

A multitude of shopping within 5 minutes drive. Restaurants in walking distance.
Walking distance to UH & TSU.
5 minute drive to Rice, downtown, and medical center.
10 minute drive to the Zoo & Hermann Park.
5 minutes drive to major highways I-45, I-10, 288, and 59.

The room is a 12 x 12 with a spacious closet. There is a queen-size air mattress perfect for 2. There is a cabinet with fresh towels and sheets.

Spacious backyard to relax and unwind after a long day or entertain (website hidden): I'm an early 30s entrepreneur. After studying economics & finance almost 10 years ago I'm back in school for physics. An avid coffee and wine drinker and you can catch me a lot of evenings on the back porch enjoying one of those drinks with a cigar and a good book.

Interaction with Guests

It depends on my schedule which I must admit is fairly hectic and requires long hours. I try to meet the guest at least once during their stay and sometimes even go out with them, but it is not always possible.

The Neighborhood

I love the wonderful people in my neighborhood. It is an older neighborhood that has hidden charm. Neighbors still speak to each other, borrow sugar from each other, and just genuinely enjoy looking out for each other. I am thankful to be in (email hidden). It also does not hurt that I am 5 minutes from museums, downtown, and the medical center by car.

Getting around

There is a bus stop at the end of my street which takes you directly into downtown or can connect you to the light rail which will get you around town. There is also the AirBnB bike in the home that was left by a guest that I now let other guest use.

  • William was an excellent host, and the house is a very charming place. It is in a historic neighborhood in Houston by the University of Houston and only a stones throw away from the heart of Houston. Really enjoyed the house and it's southern charm.

  • Haphazardly relocated to Houston last minute without a place to stay. William stepped in to fill the void in the interim. Couldn't have asked for a nicer guy to bunk up with.

About
Early 30's. Economist, entrepreneur, interim e-director for a non-profit, president of a chamber of commerce, and community college adjunct professor. I am very adventurous, love to read, travel, and the perfect day for me ends with a cigar, steak, and bottle of red wine. My AirBnB home doubles as my office so even when I am not staying there you will see me there in the office. AirBnB is helping me save up to renovate my old home and meet wonderful new friends.
