Host: I'm an early 30s entrepreneur. After studying economics & finance almost 10 years ago I'm back in school for physics. An avid coffee and wine drinker and you can catch me a lot of evenings on the back porch enjoying one of those drinks with a cigar and a good book.
Interaction with Guests
It depends on my schedule which I must admit is fairly hectic and requires long hours. I try to meet the guest at least once during their stay and sometimes even go out with them, but it is not always possible.
I love the wonderful people in my neighborhood. It is an older neighborhood that has hidden charm. Neighbors still speak to each other, borrow sugar from each other, and just genuinely enjoy looking out for each other. I am thankful to be in such a wonderful place. It also does not hurt that I am 5 minutes from museums, downtown, and the medical center by car.
There is a bus stop at the end of my street which takes you directly into downtown or can connect you to the light rail which will get you around town. There is also the AirBnB bike in the home that was left by a guest that I now let other guest use.
No smoking is allowed in the home, but permitted outside.
William was a good host who was very welcoming upon my evening arrival, would stay again.
Just needed a place to crash for the night and this place was perfect. William made it easy for me to get in, get some sleep, and get on my way.
William was an excellent host and I was glad to be able stay here for the month of February. He made me feel incredibly welcome during my stay. The house is nice, and in a really convenient location. You can get right to downtown or the museum district in a matter of minutes. This was a great experience for my first try with Air BNB.
The location: South East
The east side of Houston is quiet and might not be the best place to hang out. There are many abandon houses. However, the neighbourhood itself is very very safe and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. It is very close to Downtown and traffic is awesome.
The house: (In winter)
William's place is perfect for those who wanted an inexpensive long term stay. The internet is great for more than 4 users. The common area in the winter would require the heater to work harder/longer. However, the bedroom feel very comfortable at 76F. There is wind draft through the aging windows but easily solved by sleeping away from the window and by snug fitting a towel.
The place is clean and William cleans from time to time. The house is a shoe friendly place which is easy for us in the winter.
The price is awesome for a long term stay but not so for short term. However, it is still affordable considering the location.
William, himself is a great guy that has great social ability. He would allow us to have our time and would spend reasonably time communicating at the perfect time to make everyone feels at home. He is very kind to us and even dealt with our crying puppy. A man that is kind to animals, he has a good heart.
Overall, it has been a great experience for us to live in a house. Obviously, it will be too big for a small family which is why this experience has been great for us. 5 stars experience. Thank you William.
William responded quickly in a last minute request and we had a great place to crash for one more night in Houston. Thanks William!
At 6pm I was looking for a place to stay, William has saved my life! Great and very helpful host, I've spent whole day on visiting places that he told me about.
Estancia recomendable 100%.
The neighborhood is very quiet, and very conforteble home. But best of all is Williams. He drive took me several times to buy at the supermarket and even took me back to the airport. It is very very aware of everything. He's great.
If you go to MD Anderson, is 20 minutes by bus.
The house is fully equipped for both cold and heat.
Stay 100% recommended.

About the Host, William
Early 30's. Economist, commercial real estate agent, wannabe physicist, entrepreneur, interim e-director for a non-profit, president of a chamber of commerce, and community college adjunct professor. In other words, busy and always on the go.
I am very adventurous, love to read, travel, and the perfect day for me ends with a cigar, steak, and bottle of red wine.
My AirBnB home doubles as my office so even when I am not staying there you will see me there in the office. AirBnB is helping me save up to renovate my old home and meet wonderful new friends.
