This is a lovely 2 room studio/ 1 bedroom unit, located in the area of Ocean Park. I am the owner of the building which is made up of 6 fully furnished apartments....Building offers a central/convenient location and is just 3 blocks from the nicest metro area beaches. Unit offers a queen sized bed, futon, sofa, kitchenette, wifi, television, air conditioning, walk in shower, designated parking . Public transportation at the end of the block (bus), will take you to Old San Juan for only 75 cents!
Monthly rates are also available please ask.
Great neighbourhood. Vibrant but peaceful. Glad I picked this space over one in Condado, which felt like much more of a tourist hotspot. The apartment was a great size, well furnished and best of all 5 minutes from a beautiful beach. Highly recommended.
Great little place- easy parking, close to the beach, walking distance from Condado area. Lots of good food nearby (especially if you like Peruvian food). Hosts were easy to reach by phone or text. Would definitrly stay there again or recommend to others!
Everything was great! The apartment was simple and clean, 10 min walk to the beach, delicious coffee and our favorite Burrito place around the corner, as well as the bus stop. Jose and Steve were so sweet and super helpful.
Thanks for everything!
Dino and his assistant were a pleasure to deal with.
Everything at the condo was as advertised. Great location to the beach and easy to get everywhere. I would stay there again.
We had some great times in Puerto Rico, it was a very nice experience. Local people dont hesitate to help you out and give you some good tips.
The rental is pretty cheap, so don't expect to stay in a luxury suite. It's a simple appartment, with 2 rooms. one bedrooms with a king size bed and the other room with a single bed and a couch.
Good points :
1/ Very close to the beach (maybe 5mn by feet)
2/vQuiet and safe neigborhood
3/ a 2 bedrooms appartment
4/ Near an High street where you can find almost everything : walgreens, restaurants (try Cueva del Mar), bars (try Pal' Cielo), laundromat, barber and beautyshop, gas stations...
5/ near the bus 53 McLeary street to go to old san juan.
6/ if you have any question or any problem, condo's employees can help you out pretty quick.
7/ the appartment is in a local people area
8/ no keys to worry about. they are codes for the gate and the door.
bad point :
1/ even though the neigborhood is pretty quiet, walls and windows don't really blocked sounds
2/ there's no real separation between the 2 rooms.
I never got to meet Dino...but he was responsive within 10 minutes of me sending him a message asking where great fish restaurants were or the best way to see the BioBay, etc. He is an extremely responsible host. Thanks so much Dino...The proximity to Ocean Park beach was awesome! very very close. Such a great trip to Puerto Rico.
Amazing trip to San Juan. Dino was prompt with responses and available if needed. The units have are secured with gated entry which is a nice perk, and Ocean Park is an absolutley lovely neighborhood. If your looking to be close to everything, yet away from the typical tourist spots, this is the place for you. About a 5 minute walk to the beach, bus stops down the street, Walgreens and other small grocery stores within walking distance. The unit was clean, comfortable, and private. I would definitely book with Dino again in the future!
We stayed here for the whole time of our visit to Puerto Rico and liked the appartement a lot.
Parking is available right in front of the building and the terrace is really charming. The neighborhood is also nice and pretty much everything you need is within walking distance.
We would come again :)
Fast and cheap to Old San Juan by bus
Close to beach
Spacious for a studio, two seperate rooms
Good blinds to keep the light out in the early morning
Fresh smelling clean towels, bedlinnen and showercurtain
Nice host, though due to christmas gone for a few days
Clean, no funny smell or roaches
Authentic neighbourhood, nice contacts with local people
Enough light in the bathroom, the complaint of an other guest is solved apparently.
Nice welcoming candles
Nice clean new fridge
Feels a bit too much like a backpacker-place to our taste:
Broken tiles, paint peeling of walls, cracks in ceeling, a bit gloomy atmosphere (but maybe that was due to the rain as well).
Sticky kitchenstuff, just 1 pan, no (fitting) lid, 1 cerealbowl, a couple of plates, no cups and a few glasses, very little cutlery
Bedframe hanging down in the middle, so 2 people will roll to each other during the night (and we are not big people). Maybe this can be fixed by repairing the extra poles
1 towel for 4 nights
Airco can only be very cold or off
2 out of 4 days connected to the internet
Ants in the kitchen, but that's the tropics....
This was my first experience using Airbnb, and thanks to Dino it was great! I arrived early and Dino made arrangements for me to be let into the apartment. He also gave me a free upgrade into his personal apartment, since he was out of town, very generous! The communication was great. Place was clean. Very close to San Juan Int'l Airport. This was my first time to Puerto Rico. This place is about a 1-2 minute walk to the Ocean Park beach, which had a couple good eats. Kasalta was great for breakfast/brunch/bakery needs. La B de Burro is a cozy little taco place, all the workers are local and very chill, and the tacos are good too :) This is the more bougie section. If you walk towards the other direction (left out of the apartment on Calle Ismael Rivera), you will find more of the "real" Puerto Rico, lots of locals, local eats, barbershops.. check out the bar called Pa"l Cielo, it's poppin even on Sunday night and it's a 4 minute walk from Dino's place. If you are walking into proper San Juan (not Ocean Park), then be alert. It's nice, lots of friendly people, but just like any other city. If you are alert and respectful, you should have a great time and have no problems. Definitely visit Old San Juan. Only problem is that cabs are expensive, it's about $18 each way, so if you're going to be moving around a lot and exploring, it might be best to rent a car, and Dino has parking. Oh also, I went to Puerto Rico because I wanted to go somewhere nice, but I still wanted to be able to work, so I needed good internet connectivity. The wifi worked great in the apartment. Also, I was able to sit on the Ocean Park beach and still get 4g internet service on my phone, without being charged roaming (live in NJ, AT&T). Thanks Dino, I'd be happy to return to this place any time!
