Villa Buona Speranza has panoramic sea views and is immersed in typical Mediterranean 'macchia' vegetation. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of Sardinia's Costa del Sud: bird song and cicadas, eucalyptus and rosemary, with a turquoise ocean backdrop. 1.5 km (17 minutes) walk to a long sandy beach and within a short drive of blue-flag beaches including Tuerredda and Porto Pino.

Modern, spacious and comfortable, it's the perfect spot for your relaxing Sardinian holiday.

The space
Located on a hillside within a gated community, this double-storey house is reached by walking down 110 steps from a private parking spot. After the descent, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular sea view, unspoiled by roads or other houses.

The villa faces south-east and enjoys sunny mornings and afternoon shade. It has two large bedrooms with sea views, which can be arranged with double or single beds, plus a smaller children's bedroom with a bunk bed. The upstairs master bedroom has a small balcony. There is a large bathroom on each floor with shower, toilet and bidet. The upstairs bathroom has an adjoining terrace with outdoor shower.

Downstairs you'll find an open-plan living room with double sofa bed, dining table, fully-equipped, brand-new kitchen, and a small utility room for laundry. Large patio doors lead to a spacious outdoor area including covered terrace with dining table and sofa seats, 90 sqm garden, built-in barbecue (as well as a portable bbq) and outdoor shower.

You'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay including unlimited high-speed Wifi, LED Smart TV with TivuSat and Netflix, filter coffee machine, French press and traditional moka pot, electric convection oven, induction hob, bullet blender, washing machine, dishwasher, air-con, standing fan, and digital safe.

And on the rare occasion that the weather is bad, you can enjoy a selection of books and boardgames.

The villa is semi-detached, connected to 3 other houses, with a layout that maximises privacy. You will have the whole house and garden to yourself.

Other things to note
Unfortunately the house does not have step-free access, and you will need to walk down a flight of relatively steep steps from the parking area. Please bear this in mind if bringing large or heavy luggage.

Bed linen and bath towels are included in the booking fee.

The garden has an automatic irrigation system which comes on for a few minutes during the night, between 3 and 5am.

Our gardener will come to mow the lawn once a week, not before 10:30am. He will ring the doorbell before entering the property.

The house is powered by solar panels, with a battery, so you will be using clean and renewable energy. In the unlikely event of a prolonged power cut or cloudy weather, be mindful of your power usage, to avoid draining the entire 10kW battery.

The nearest towns are Domus de Maria, Chia and Pula, within 10 to 15 minutes' drive, where you can find a good selection of shops and restaurants. The Sardinian capital, Cagliari, is about an hour away: don't miss the Castello, San Benedetto Market, or the seafront promenade.

Enjoy walks, runs or hikes along the coast, in the forests of Is Cannoneris, or in the Gutturu Mannu regional park. You'll even find a section of ancient Roman road on the coastal path below the house. Taste local Vermentino and Cannonau wines at the Argiolas, Santadi or Dolianova wineries.
