It depends on my schedule. Sometimes I'm around quite a bit, other times I'm busy teaching and running my school next door, or out of town. I like to meet the guests and spend time with them if I can.

Bus stops on the corner and one block away; near hotels and main thoroughfares, so it's easy to catch a cab if necessary.

Ronda made me feel so welcome when i arrived at her apartment. She greeted me with a warm smile and a hug. It felt so good since I had reached there after a good 30 hour flight. The place is exactly as described and Ronda does make you feel very comfortable. It was very close to my conference venue and the bus service from Ronda's apartment is at a barely 5 minutes walk.
I would strongly recommend staying at her place if you are new to San Franciso and are travelling alone. The place is very conveniently located.
Warm welcome; generous use of the whole place. Great sun room, comfy spacious bedroom. Great location but still quiet at night.
Only one small negative: linens, while clean, were a little worn.
Yes, you are right about the linens, I agree, and am pretty surprised how fast new ones wear out--you just missed a whole new batch of sheets and towels that I had bought, but hadn't had a chance to put through a first washing. If you come again, you'll get the new ones! Thanks for the feedback!
Ronda was great - we didn't get to interact much as we were both busy but she was very welcoming when I arrived and gave me a nice tour of the house. House itself is beautiful and as described - great location near Fillmore. This particular room is on the street side of the house so gets some street noise at night - just something to keep in mind for light sleepers. Other than that, everything was great and highly recommended!

About the Host, Ronda
I have been a Spanish language and cultures educator for 40 years, having worked in public and private educational systems from pre-k to college, graduate school, and adult education for 20 years, before starting my own institute, WEEKEND en español®, now celebrating our 22nd year. I have traveled throughout most of Latin America and Spain over the years, and a few European countries, but my main focus in recent years has been Mexico, where I travel for business and pleasure. I was born and raised in San Francisco, have lived in other cities, but have been back in my home town, and living in my wonderful Victorian house for 32 years. My home has art, books, and treasures from my many adventures. Since I travel frequently, and have my school right next door to my home and can stay there too, I am able to rent out my home to fellow travelers who want to have a real San Francisco experience. My home is in one of the City's most popular neighborhoods--lower Pacific Heights/the Fillmore. We have great dining and shopping, parks, beautiful streets and houses to see and enjoy, easy access to bus lines and main arteries, and great ethnic and street fairs!
