Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
I also have bikes, which require a ($100) deposit, to use.
Newly renovated 2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed and futon, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea.
I have 2 bikes you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. And I am asking for a $100 deposit if you use above the airbnb (to cover any loss/damage)--but they are free.
Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is another ($100) deposit for pets.
If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!
There is a lockbox on the inside of my front screen door.
Interaction with Guests
Not much, but I am around if you need me! I do work full-time, too.
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets.
Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space.
This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
I got 2 free (but $100 deposit required) bikes with locks you can use--the most fun, environmental way to get around...
There is great public transportation--use the Marigny connection ((website hidden)). And the street car picks up along the river at the end of Esplanade by the wharf.
Here is the entire RTA map: (website hidden)_Around/RTA-SystemMap.pdf
For getting around one here--United cab is great (phone number hidden)) and this cabby was recommended: Nancy. (phone number hidden) (tell them Sarah and Dave recommended from staying in the Marigny).
Other Things to Note
The bikes are available, but req ($100) deposit and are behind the fence with dogs SO you need to coordinate with me ahead of time if you want the bikes, so I can either introduce you to dogs, or pull bikes out for you before I head to work.
Please be kind and respectful because this is a residential neighborhood and we are sharing a front door entry. Also, the bedroom windows are directly next to my neighbor's side porch, so be careful with nudity (unless you are a voyeur!). Some guests (& neighbor) were surprised when they opened the blinds in the nude! This is a close neighborhood. :-)
The pets are in my personal space, but you could run into cats on porch and see my 2 dogs behind my fence.
Kerrie's house was so lovely - especially the amazing shower. The king bed was super comforatable and having the twin in a seperate room was perfect for our son's early bedtime. The location was so convenient to both the wedding that we were in town for AND the French quarter. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again next time we are in New Orleans!
I am so happy to have found Kerrie's place. Its location was ideal as it was a short walk to music, restaurants, and bars on Frenchmen St. while also close enough to enjoy the Bywater.
From the super comfy bed to the many guides on the coffee table, I couldn't have asked for more. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to head back to NOLA again soon.
We had a wonderful stay at Kerry's house.
The house is like you can dream of a New Orleans' house, the room is charming (big & super clean), the location perfect with the best breakfast ever one bloc away at the "Cake Café", and the best street (Frenchmen street) to listen to good jazz is just 5 minutes away on foot!
You can trust Kerry's recommendations and if you love cats, Sissi will fulfill all your expectations!!! :-)
We will come back to the the New Orleans, this is sure and at Kerry's house!

This space/location is just right for checking out the FQ as you are only a matter of blocks away from the historic district. It (Marigny) is a great neighborhood with restaurants, coffee shops & a bar or 2 just 5 mins. away. It feels like you are living here and not visiting. Parking on the street was no problem.
Kerrie was a great host and she does not come around unless you need her. She had suggestions on places to go that only a local could provide. Walk the blocks here and your jaw will drop at the multi hued exteriors I would highly reccommend this listing!
Kerrie's apartment is perfectly located, clean and she had small amenities to make it feel welcoming. Key pick up was easy and she was available if I needed anything. I'd certainly stay here again!
Kerrie was accommodating with our schedule and very responsive. Her home is absolutely lovely and in an ideal location. We were able to walk just about everywhere in the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. You will not regret staying with Kerrie! She had some snacks out for us as well as water, coffee, and tea. Everything was spotless and we felt very at home!

I love New Orleans and am excited you are considering staying at my place, although you may not even see me bc you have your own private space (separate from my living space). I am happy to steer you in the right direction for food and music. I love my pets, so am happy to consider your furry travel companion. Your dog must be ok with cats, too, bc they often hang on the porch.
I'm an occupational therapist, but primarily teach (university), ride a motor scooter, and feel lucky to live in the Marigny/new Orleans.
