The Luxury Yellowstone Chalet is a is a modern 4 bed / 3 bath cabin that captures the quintessential Montana experience. It's nestled in mountain village of Cooke City, between Yellowstone's NE entrance, and the Beartooth Highway (deemed "the most scenic highway in America"). High-end amenities will make you forget that you're deep in the mountains: sauna, hardwood floors, 2 fireplaces, tall ceilings, granite countertops, bathroom suite, and decks with breathtaking views.

The space
This 3000 sq/ft "cabin" has plenty of space to accommodate your large group while still giving everyone their space; it has 2 kitchens and separate lounge spaces. The cozy, yet open, living room and dining room are the perfect space to bring everyone together around the fireplace, a board game, or that home cooked meal. Speaking of, the large fully equipped main kitchen has 2 ovens, high-end appliances, and is well stocked to prepare a feast for your family. The dining area and bar table has seating for 12. There is a second fully stocked kitchen, if your groups need some alone time, or if you just want to make it the cocktail bar for happy hour. That side of the house also has a den with leather couches to kick back in and watch our large flat screen TV (access to Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, ESPN+, and DVDs.).

The cabin showcases outdoor living in the mountains. Epic views of peaks that tower several thousand feet over Cooke are a plenty; you can even use our spotting scope to look for wildlife or scope your next ski line. The main deck has a BBQ (propane provided) and outdoor dining table. The whole family will enjoy roasting marshmallows in the gas fire pit. We provide snowshoes to explore in the mountains right out your back door. Just the right amount of secluded... what a great base camp for all of your Yellowstone Park and Beartooth Mountains adventures. When you get home turn on the beautiful new outdoor sauna.

In the master bedroom, french doors lead to a private balcony deck with a hammock and lounge chairs- a great place to enjoy your coffee with a view of Republic Peak. The over-sized king log bed will make you feel like a king next to the beautiful stone fireplace with mountain goat centered above. Relax in the daybed and turn on the internet TV. The bathroom suite is the definition of pampered: complete with large 2 person bath tub, a massive 4 head shower, and laundry.

We have Starlink providing us satellite internet providing the fastest speeds in town (150 meg); smart speakers and assistant can play whatever music you ask for, and provide great WiFi throughout the house. There is a great work space with a monitor to use. For the kids we have a pack-n-play crib, high-chair, and lots of board games/puzzles, DVD's. There is plenty of parking for your snowmobile trailers or several cars.

Guest access
The entire unit (the main 2 floors) is yours to enjoy. There is a separate rental in the basement that is occupied by a part-time, long-term renter; this has a completely separate entrance and you'll likely never know anyone is there. The entrance (main floor and 1 bedroom) is accessed up a set of stairs. The 2nd floor is where the other 3 bedrooms are.

Other things to note
The home is equipped with everything you need to feel like you're at home: bedding, pillows, towels, bath robes, toilet paper & paper towels, garbage bags, dishwasher soap, and gas for BBQ grill. We provide fresh ground coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and more. Feel free to use our cooking oil, spices, flour, sugar, etc. If you forget your essentials, we also provide things like: a toothbrush, lotion, chargers, sleep mask, etc.

Pet friendly with approval. We are generally amenable to well behaved, potty trained, pets. When booking ensure you select yes for pets. Then send me a message describing your pet.

The nightly price is based upon up to 8 people. After that, an extra $25, per person, per night, is automatically added to the price you see. If you select more than 8 (adults + children) the price will be updated. Please advise me if your guest total increases, or if you are going to have more than 3 vehicles, after booking so that we can accommodate.

Just as we want to be great hosts, we want great guests. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation for guests with unsatisfactory reviews; in that case, it's best if you message us prior to booking with more info. An unruly guest could upset the neighborhood, which is why we have a strict no parties policy. Thank you for being a responsible guest!

Neighborhood highlights

Cooke City is less than 5 miles from the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone, making it the perfect hopping off point to explore the Park. We are close to Roosevelt Lodge, Slough Creek, Lamar Valley and Trout Lake.

This small mountain town is the perfect combination of remote, peace and quiet in the mountains with some modern amenities. You will see amazing views and wildlife right in town, and if you drive in really any direction. The house is located one block off main street in the center of town.

It's a convenient walk to all the dining and shops in Cooke City but far enough away that you won't hear vehicles. You can ski or snowmobile right back to your front door. And endless off-road trails and hikes start as close as a couple blocks away.

I'm a Montana native and have chosen to keep Red Lodge, the town I grew up in, home because I love the all that it has to offer... skiing, backpacking, paragliding and rafting are a few of my favorites. I love spending time at my Airbnb in Cooke City where I ski and snowmobile in the winter and hike in the summer, nestled on the other side of the Beartooth Mountains at the entrance to Yellowstone Park.
