  • I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. What a cute apartment. Walking in, I immediately felt relaxed and at home. Everything I needed was there (and more). Friendly hosts, quiet location, and a perfect weekend for me. Fresh eggs, juice, and my own schedule. I can't wait to take my wife with me next time!

Glad you were able to relax! Hope to see you again and meet your wife Sarah.
    Thanks again, Dinny

  • We spent two days at this cute apartment. Everything we needed was there. We were left wonderful eggs from the chickens and ducks on property. Our mission was hiking and we hiked to Poets Seat which was close by. It's very close to Yankee candle and the butterfly Conservatory and Gardens in South Greenfield. When I go to that area again I would definitely stay there again. Our hosts were very helpful. Very quiet neighborhood. Thank you

  • We had an absolutely lovely weekend retreat here! Denice and her family were greeted us warmly, and even helped us get up the hill when our car got stuck in the snow. The place itself is very quaint and super clean, perfect for a couple. We were also delighted to find treats in the fridge that were left for us. The living room is really cozy, with an electric fireplace that makes you feel warm inside and out. Finally, the kitchen was great and well-stocked for cooking. Definitely recommend Dinny's Place to others!

  • Such a lovely place!
Coming from the busy streets of Boston, it felt otherworldly to drive through fog-filled valleys and lone farmhouses of this part of Massachusetts. Surrounded by forests, waterfalls and small quaint towns - this place is a great escape.
The apartment comes stocked with food to make for breakfast, everything was clean and ready for us. The hosts were really gracious and respectful of our privacy.
Hand feeding the donkey, duck eggs for breakfast and friendly neighbors were some of the highlights as well.

  • A great place to stay -- Dinny and Lee make you feel so welcome, and the house is well-equipped and kept. Very quiet and peaceful. Oliver the donkey, the chickens and the ducks, and the dog and the cats-- all a fun added bonus to staying at the house!

  • My sister and I were only able to stay one night, but I could easily see spending a week or more. The kitchen was well-stocked and spotless, the bed was comfortable. My sister slept on the futon couch and had no complaints. Dinny's place is charming and in a quiet neighborhood. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer to explore all the places Dinny had brochures for in the entryway.

  • We wanted a place in a rural setting where we could cook our own meals and relax, and that's exactly what we got. The living room and bedroom were comfortable, the shower was nice and hot, and the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking. It was lovely to have fresh eggs from their ducks in the morning, too! We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back before long.

  • My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in mid-October to visit our son at nearby boarding school. We had a fine experience and would definitely stay again if it's available. The place was as advertised - clean and in a nice, quiet environment. Dinny prepared fruit, eggs, and some cinammon rolls so we didn't need to shop for anything beforehand. She also provided soap, shampoo, towels, sheets, etc. My wife needed a hair dryer, so Dinny's husband, Lee, found one for her. Dinny and Lee are extremely nice hosts.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Denice's place! Sadly we only stayed for a night, but it was a very pleasant experience. She was very responsive over email before our trip, and she was very flexible about check in and check out time. She has figured out the perfect mix of being helpful/available and giving her guests their space.

The apartment itself is great! It's big, comfortable, and very well equipped. The hosts even set out their own chicken/duck eggs in the fridge for you! There is a fully outfitted kitchen in case you're staying for a few days and want to cook for yourself. The shower and bathroom is recently redone, and she even provides little toiletries in case you forget anything at home. The apartment gets great light too. To top it off, Denice has gone the extra mile, setting out small snacks and a ton of fliers for local restaurants, attractions, etc. When we mentioned we wanted to check out the Festival of the Hills, she made sure to give us a program of the day's events so we were fully informed.

All in all, a wonderful stay, and well worth the money- such a steal, compared to the overpriced bed and breakfasts nearby.

  • My brother and I highly recommend Dinny's Place where we stayed in September. Denice and Lee were graciously accommmodating to our plea to check in just after 10 am in the morning so we could set out in the morning on our bicycle ride to Northampton. Lee recommended a great ride to Shelburne Falls the following morning- and the return loop along the Bardswell Ferry Rd was a highlight of my summer.
Very kind and down home folks-- loved the backyard and animals. Generally there is plenty of space in the apartment and the yard to feel totally relaxed - and lots of fruit, eggs, and generous snacks for hungry bicyclists in the pantry and frig.
Denice even loaned my brother a jacket to cut the morning chill of our bike ride.
