Canvas bell tent with two twin beds located on a private spot on our farm overlooking the Upper Parker River. The tent is on a permanent wooden platform with a hammock, chairs, fire pit and a portable camp potty and pump style sink for hygiene. An extremely convenient location just off 95 (just a bit of road noise) but with a nice remote feel once you are on our property. Our farm is almost 300 years old and located right in Byfield Village. Close to Newburyport and the beaches of Plum Island.

The space
We are a working farm with horses and goats and chickens, all of which are very friendly but will not have access to the tent area. We will provide clean bedding and essentials like toilet paper and hand soap. There is a fire pit (you must provide your own firewood) and you have access to our small rowboat to go out on the river (which is a little more "pond-ish" along our section). There is a large 2 acre field with wild flowers in the spring and summer to explore and stroll. The farm is in good condition but had been neglected for the past 10 years and we are in the process of bringing it back to life. Expect a working farm environment. You can also see neighbor's houses across the river but it is still quite private at the tent.

For the fall we have wool blankets we can provide for the beds. We can also push the beds together for couples but please note that the beds are camp style Coleman cots so there will be a bar between the beds.

Children are welcome to stay at the tent and it is a great experience for them! We can accommodate up to three children with floor mats so just let us know if you have children coming along.

Guest access
River access, including our little dinghy. The river is slow in our area and more like a pond FYI. Access to our field to pick wildflowers. Access to a small swimming hole further down the river for more athletic campers (necessary to do a bit of rock hopping. Access to an antique fish bridge and small island to view an old mill, dam and waterfall. Access to a fire pit area above the tent. Watch your step!

Other things to note
The bathroom is camp bath, it has a pump style sink and a portable potty.

The tent area is buggy at dusk and night! Bring good bug spray and watch the tent door after dark.

We provide a lantern and flashlight but there are no other lights.

You can see the neighbors' houses across the river but it is still quite private. We are fairly close to the highway too and you can hear it a bit! But you can also hear the waterfall.

Please be careful to close any gates behind you as our goats and horses are escape artists. Please don't feed the horses anything other than provided horse treats, horses can get sick easily and one of them can't even eat long grass (they are all rescues).
