I can't say enough good about Lynn and Barry! They are wonderful hosts and really amazing people. I have had the pleasure of staying in their beautiful Peacham, Vermont home on several occasions now and the experience could not have been better. It was so nice ending a long work day in my own private second floor suite - felt like "home away from home" for me. Incredibly bright and engaging couple who I really enjoyed talking to each evening. Once Airbnb hosts, now newly found friends!!
I hope to stay with them in 2015 as I travel to Vermont on (website hidden): If you dislike the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins or Red Sox you may want to keep that quiet!!
What a wonderful place to stay - you can't ask for better hosts than Lynn and Barry. Super nice/interesting people that I have really enjoyed getting to know over the last several weeks.
The accommodations are perfect - quiet bedroom and bathroom on the second floor of their beautiful home in Peacham, VT. Breakfast and coffee was always ready as I started my day and headed out the door.
I highly recommend !!!!!!
Barry and Lynn were wonderful hosts and I look forward to my future trips which have already been booked. They made me feel right at home - beautiful accommodations! Barry makes a great cup of coffee as well. Highly recommend as a place to stay during your trip through Vermont.
This airbnb room is one of the best I've stayed in. I didn't want to leave. The house is more beautiful than the pictures, with views of the valley below right from the bedroom, which is all creamy blue. Barry and his wife were wonderful hosts, always attentive and offering a great breakfast from their AGA stove, a special treat for me since I used to have one myself.
Try the new Cafe up the road, and there is a Buddist retreat center not far away.
This is a very special place.
A stunning house, beautifully decorated, and in a gorgeous location, with southeasterly hill views from the room. If you have any interest in the geography and history of the Upper Connecticut Valley, be sure to ask Barry to show you the atlas of this watershed (he was project director for this publication). The book is so well-done that I made a brief detour on my way home, to stop at the Dartmouth Bookstore and get my own copy.
Barry and Lynn were the most amazing hosts! My fiancé and I came up to Vermont for graduation weekend from our MA program at Goddard College, and staying with Barry made the weekend absolutely delightful. The house is beautiful, their dog is adorable, and Barry was incredibly warm and gracious. He made sure there was coffee and fruit for us every morning, and made me eggs to start the day. Our room was the picture of Vermont country charm, and our stay was peaceful and joyful. If we have to come back to Vermont, Barry and Lynn are first on our list to call so we can return to Peacham and enjoy their hospitality once again.
A beautiful place to stay. Barry was extremely hospitable and helpful, delicious breakfasts, lovely people, great view. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.
My wife Lynne and I are active outdoors people, very involved in our thriving community of 600 people. We help run the local farmers' market and are committed to eating local food. We are in love with Vermont and will happily be your tour guide.
