Old Cemetery Road Guest House is a Greek-Revival farmhouse-style home in a beautiful situation in Peacham one quarter mile from lovely Peacham Village and seven miles from Karme Choling Shambhala Meditation Center in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
Stay in our large, second-floor, east-corner guest room that is private, has a queen bed, sitting area with table and chairs and a full bath en suite. Continental breakfast and wifi included. (Please note that cell service is undependable in our area.)
The house is in a serene, rural location, surrounded by pastures and meadows. We are three miles from the nearest convenience store and seven miles to restaurants.
There's a beautiful hike up Devil's Hill with panoramic views and on the many dirt roads around this quiet, hilly town.
Do you ski? You can back-country ski right from our door in the woods and fields around us, or at highly-recommended cross-country ski areas at Burke Mountain (40 minutes); Craftsbury Outdoor Center (1 hr.); or Kingdom Trails (Burke, 40 mins.). Great downhill skiing at Burke Mountain (40 mins.) or Cannon Mountain (N.H., 55 mins.)
Peacham makes a good base for exploring northern Vermont. Two-night minimum, please.
Access for guests is generally limited inside the house to the room (en suite) and the breakfast area. They are welcome to wander the extensive area outside the house, our gardens and fields. Parking is easy and near the house.
Interaction with guests
Although we have fairly busy schedules, we try to be as accommodating as possible to our guests.
Other things to note
Two years ago we adopted a lovely dog, Odie, who loves guests and people in general. He is limited to the downstairs area in the house, and sleeps in a far corner of the hallway. He protects the house and informs us of other animals that occasionally come on the property. He's a solid member of the family.
No smoking, no pets

My wife Lynne and I are active outdoors people, very involved in our thriving community of 600 people. We help run the local farmers' market and are committed to eating local food. We are in love with Vermont and will happily be your tour guide.
