Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This historic structure is full of character and is part of the Kingston Mill Historic District - named after the building. Built in 1893, the mill is located at the base of Lake Carnegie and is an easy trip into Princeton for visiting the University, shops, and restaurants, but also a wonderful place to just relax. It is the perfect stay for those who want a little quiet and to be a little closer to nature. It's hard to compare the views!

The space
The entry is up 7 steps, but once inside everything is on one level. Bathrooms are equipped with grab-bars.
The floor plan is open with lots of great light; all of the 3 bedrooms have locking doors. The space is child friendly with lots of play area. Sorry no AC – but there is normally a good breeze off the lake.

Where you’ll be

Princeton, New Jersey, United States

The mill has immediate access to the D&R Canal State Park, making it a great option for birders, walkers, and canoers/kayakers. Beyond the stone bridge, the towpath where mules once pulled barges is now a popular path.
We are also very near the Princeton University Crew Finish-line area, Carnegie Lake (0.5 miles).
An easy walk to a variety of nearby restaurants in Kingston Village gives a number of eating options. There are great casual options from the famous PJ Pancake's second location to Tino's Artisan Pizza, as well more formal dining with Eno Terra and Casa Gennaro.

During your stay

The owners live on the second floor with a separate entry (you will hear some footsteps, but that means we’re here to help). We're both retired and will be there the full time during your stay. We’ve been in the house over 45 years and think you’ll understand right away why we love it!
