Nisqually Nest is nestled amongst the trees at the end of a cul-de-sac. Close to the entrance of Mt. Rainier, it's a place to relax and reconnect with nature, yourself or a loved one. A private cedar sauna and hot tub are available to relax in. Catch up over the flames of the outdoor fire pit. Enjoy a movie next to the wood burning stove on the cozy sofa. Slow down and cook up a memorable meal. Our cabin is perfect for 1-2 people to enjoy the simple things in life again!

The space
We keep the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, appliances and a wide assortment of seasonings, oil, etc. A toaster, drip coffee maker (coffee), french press, microwave, oven, bbq, dishwasher and good size fridge are all available for your convenience.

When you enter on the main floor, you will find a simple, clean bathroom that has a bathtub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all provided for cleaning up after those long hikes. Ascend the short flight of steps up to the bedroom where you will find a cozy queen bed with a fluffy down comforter and electric fireplace to help you relax and get a good nights sleep. Lights that trim the house create a magical pattern on the ceiling of the room if left on at night. Guest have often commented on the lovely sound rain makes while falling on the metal roof on rainy evenings.

A Fire pit is located on the back of the house with seating available. For your convenience, we have a stocked wood holder on the back porch. Newspaper is provided but at times may be low, so we always suggest bringing some if possible. You will also find a wood burning stove inside the cabin to warm your evenings.

On the back porch, there is a new 2 person cedar sauna which feels wonderful after a long day of hiking! The hot tub is in the back yard as well and sits under trees. With the wide open sky above and draped lights, it's a perfect way to relax.

There is a smart TV with all the channels, Netflix, Amazon prime ...etc. which you may access with your sign in. A dvd player is provided along with a few classic movies for your watching enjoyment.

The cabin is conveniently located 5 miles from the Nisqually Entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. This is the most popular entrance and the only entrance maintained and open year-round (weather permitting). Endless hiking opportunities. Miles of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Rental shops nearby.

For mountain bikers, Osborne Mt. is within a couple of miles, and miles and miles gravel-grinding rides from the cabin's doorstep!

Our cabin is in a woodsy setting, but it is not secluded. It sits back in the trees on a cul de sac in a neighborhood called Paradise Estates. There is a tiny home next door which is separated by a privacy fence. We do also get some road noise from nearby Skate Creek Rd.
