I love love love this place! This is my 3rd time in nice and my favorite so far. The place is in a very nice central area. Lots of space with a well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Great balcony with a nice view! The clean simply decor really adds to the niceness of the flat. I love love the artwork in the flat! When I'm back in nice this the only place I will stay :-)
Nelly was great: Very helpful and friendly. She came to us twice and even brought fresh towels for us. I highly recommend her. The apartment was roomy, extremely comfortable and stylish. Note that the window shutters are outside the window. Otherwise light comes in. It took us two days to realize that. I highly recommend this flat. Easy walk toBeach and many restaurants, grocery shops and restaurants nearby. Overall I give this place a 9.80 rating!!!! Very. Very good!
Overall an excellent place! A very nice, spacious and tastefully decorated apartment. The place is as presented in the photos, exept a little more "worn and torn". The location is excellent. We walked everywere, only 8 mins to the beach, a short walk to restaurants nearby, and only 15-20 mins to the centre and the old town of Nice. The neighbourhood is very nice and we felt safe at all times. The walls are thin, so bring earplugs to shut out noise from the neighbours at night. The aircon and the little balcony was highly appreciated. There are several parking garages and small supermarkets nearby. Upon request we were given a late check out upon leaving, which we appreciated. If we return to Nice we will stay here again!
The apartment is just great. Clean, spacious, friendly furnished, nice balkony towards a nice backyard and kitchen and bathroom are very well equipped. The location is close too the beach, not far to shops, restaurants, etc. Around the corner is as well a public parking garage with discounts for multi-day stays. I definitely would love to stay at Nelly's apartment again next time.
I didn't get to meet Nelly, but she had a friend - a very nice woman - show me into the apartment and come collect the keys at the end of my stay. The apartment is a large, white, spacious home, with a well-equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms with good-quality beds, and a nice little balcony with a pleasant viewed over shared garden space. It's on the first floor, which I particularly liked (not being a fan of heights) and there's a quaint old elevator if you're not feeling up to the one flight of steps. There are three excellent air conditioners, one in the living space, and in each of the two bedrooms. However, I was told that you can't have them all on at once. I was travelling alone, so that certainly wasn't a problem for me, but if the apartment was at maximum capacity, it could perhaps be problematical. That said, the living/kitchen space is large, and yet just a few hours of the a/c switched on was enough to have the place feeling very cool indeed. The bathroom comes with a really huge drench-head shower with hot water available at all times (to me, anyway) of the day, which was really good too. One thing I did notice was that the apartment was not very well insulated against noise from the surrounding apartments. This is particularly true of the larger of the two bedrooms. However, it was really just the noise of families talking, and it didn't bother me at all. I mention it for those people far more sensitive to noise than me. The apartment is about a 10-minute leisurely stroll (is there any other way to walk in 32 degrees of heat) from the very beautiful promenade, and is just metres from a great boulangerie with a very friendly staff. It's also just around the corner from a small supermarket (U), which while far from cheap was in fact convenient. Apart from that and one restaurant/tabac, Rue Verdi doesn't have much else to it. Still, it's no more than 5 minutes' walk to a large and lively restaurant area. The only drawback for me was that, while Nelly advertises a 2pm check in, which was part of my rationale for choosing the apartment (given my flight from Dublin arrived into Nice at 9:40am), after I had booked and paid she asked me what time I planned to arrive, and when I responded (saying what I've just laid out above) I didn't hear anything back for a couple of days. Then I was told I couldn't check in until 4:30pm, because the people wouldn't be vacating the apartment until 2pm that day. In response, I asked if it would be possible for me also to check out at 2pm on my departure day. She told me that if nobody else booked, that would be acceptable. As it turns out, it was 4:45pm before I got into the apartment. And it was only then that I...
