Holiday apartment in Copenhagen
Beautiful apartment with two bedrooms with both 140 cm wide beds in them, a new bathroom and a living room with a fully equipped kitchen as well as a comfy sofa. Everything is newly renovated in a cosy yet retro / modern style. The flat is situated in a wonderful area of the town called Nørrebro and is close to all the nice shops, the cozy cofee shops, the cafees, the good and diverse restaurants and all the cool bars. And of course famous the Copenhagen lakes, parks and playgrounds ( see the pictures ). I live in the building, so you can always reach a helping hand on your Holiday, feel free to ask .
The apartment is newly cleaned when guests arrives. There is of course clean sheets and fresh towels. There is also free wifi - internet in the apartment. And in this flat you will also find a flatscreen tv for you to use.

  • Myself and my friend stayed in this apartment for 3 months. Ellen and Jan were very friendly and approachable. Everything worked fine in the apartment. The wifi also worked fine. The apartment is very cosy and suited all our needs. The main living space is slightly different from the pictures shown. It is actually much nicer as they have new red chairs, table cloth, pictures etc. The tv is not on the wall as shown in the picture, it is on a stand next to the fridge which is better.

Ellen also bought two new bikes for us during our time there which was fantastic as Copenhagen is impossible to get around without a bike. We payed Ellen 1000 DKK for the bikes which she returned to us at the end of our stay when we returned the bikes.

The location is also ideal as it is not suited in the main city centre so you don't have to worry about noise. The main city was a 5 minute cycle away so very close when cycling. The apartment is literally around the corner from Norrebros main town which has many resturants, cafes, bars, shops, bike shops, fast food shops, pharmacy and supermarkets. It is also around the corner from small grocery stores, however these can be expensive so I would reccomend to go two minutes further down the road to the supermarkets called Netto and Fakta as these are cheaper.

The apartment is also 1km from Feddelparken which holds the national stadium, soccer pitches, walkways, pond and playground. It is a very relaxing place to go for a walk/run or even relax on the grass or benches in the large park. The stadium also hosts a number of events which you can check up (email hidden)e only problem myself and my friend had with the apartment was the price of it as we were both students. Some of my friends were staying in a apartments three times the size of this one and were also in a great location and payed much less for their rent.

  • We were a group of 6 people who stayed at the apartment for a varying amount of days. 2 sets of keys were offered and from what I heard everything was well organised apon arrival. The apartment was clean and is in pretty good shape. The couch is so comfortable that it was easy to fall asleep on it. In the kitchen you find everything you need for cooking and it was nice to find things like salt, sugar, oil, etc. The area around is great (nice bars, clubs, grocery stores) and the location is good (inner city in walking distance).

  • We were received very well by Ellen's husband. He was very nice, tried to help us with everything and gave us tips about places to go. While we were there we had a couple of problems and he was very effective to solve it and help us.
For us the downside was the location. We thought it would be closer to the city center, but it was a little far away to walk. There were two supermarkets around but we missed having restaurants in the neighborhood or nice stores. I think this is the immigrant's zone as well, since we only saw arabic people in the streets and kebab fast food places, but it was very safe, we cant complain. Also, Ellen told us that it would be in the first floor with just a couple of steps, but even though it was really 1st floor, there were 3 sets of stairs, which was a problem for us since my parents are older and I broke my foot and am using temporarily a wheelchair. So, even though the apartment is nice and we were very well treated we would not stay there again, because of location and the stairs, since these couple of things are key for us.

  • The apartment is in a great area, not far from the city centre. I walked several times to the centre, however for those who don´t want to go on foot there are good public transports nearby. The apartment has everything we need to spend a few days, although the bathroom could be improved with a clothes hook for the towels and a small shelf, for example.

  • Our stay in Copenhagen was great but marred a little by staying at this apartment. The building itself is nice & very well located... But we found the following:
    - the apartment was too small for more than 2 people
    - there was no storage (no hooks, shelves nothing) & not really enough room for suitcases.
    - the washing facilities noted as available are in the hosts apartment & not easily accessible ie. only when they are home and we were not able to catch them.
    - the beds were not made when we arrived, we made them.
    - the apartment was not clean
    - it's not a good apartment for small children although kids older than 5 or 6 yrs would be ok.
    - the wifi was terrible. Slow & kept disconnecting.
    - the level of service from the host (Jan) was pretty basic.
All in all we probably wouldn't recommend a stay here unless you really think you won't spend any time in the apartment.

  • Very nice location. Nearby transports, shops, supermarkets... Quiet (except for fridays and saturdays nights because there are bars nearby, but not too noisy, it is possible to sleep)... Ellen is very friendly. The reason why we give only 4 stars instead of 5 is because most of the time we couldn't connect to the internet. I guess it was exceptional but we were not very happy with that. Apart from this detail, everything was perfect and I highly recommend Ellen's appartment for you stay in Copenhagen!

  • We stayed here for 7 weeks while taking some summer classes. The apartment included everything we needed to be comfortable and once we rented bikes was a direct ride to the city center. The apartment is (email hidden)ly part of town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and small local shops.
