Neighborhood highlights

Bloomfield is a great walking neighborhood. Quite, safe, and inviting, it features mostly large, single-family homes, and apartment conversions. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants that are easy walk from the unit. We are within a 5-minutes walk of both UPMC Shadyside and West Penn Hospitals, and we’re about half a mile to UPMC Children’s Hospital. We are also a short distance from Pitt, Carnage Mellon, and Duquesne Universities. In fact, many visiting faculty and students stay with us.

Downtown is about 4 miles away, and take 16 minutes by bus.

No matter how you like to get around, Bloomfield is great: it is car-, pedestrian-, and transit-friendly. With our free parking space, there is room for your vehicle. It's an easy stroll to many local businesses including coffee shops, grocery stores, as well as specialty retailers. The bus stops just a few houses down, so city access is both easy and convienient. Local nightlife is also close by: just a walk or a short Uber away.

You will love the friendly, welcoming vibe of Bloomfield, it’s quick to get around here, and you will easily see why it’s among the best neighborhoods in Pittsburgh
