Welcome to our cottage nestled in a historic waterfront town. This spring/summer enjoy a cocktail/soda out on the patio. Turn on some music and dance while cooking up your favorite dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, have dinner brought to you or enjoy a delicious dinner at one of our delicious restaurants, just a quick walk down Main. Grab a specialty coffee, pick up a souvenir, catch the sunset on the river, and much more! Great place to work with private office and high speed internet!

The space
The cottage sits approx. 75 feet from the back of the Manor, with a granite/stone breezeway between, creating a large patio space for you to enjoy. Once inside the cottage it is open and airy, decorated with a nautical theme in the main living space/dining. This area also has the warmth of a cozy gas fireplace (seasonal) . The kitchen is farmhouse industrial decor and is just off of the dining area. The bedroom is in the back left threw a short wide hallway from the living area. Full bath has a stand up shower w/waterfall showerhead. Upstairs there is a 2nd bedroom with two twin beds and a private office. The entire space is for you and you alone, We look forward to welcoming you as our guest.

Bring your kayak's Marina Park and several other places are available to drop in within 400 ft. to 15 min from the cottage. Depending on the adventure you are looking for. Marina Park also has a boat launch and free 72 hour docking (no hook ups)

Note: The upstairs rooms are an A line roof/ceiling, and has lower than normal windows, we do not recommend for young children. Nor individuals over 6ft.

One Dog is welcome, (two can be arranged with a small added fee) but must be on a leash at all times, outside of the fenced in back yard. Owners are responsible for all Doggie damages and must clean up there poop. Sorry no cats.

Port Deposit is a small town, and we are right in the heart of it, you could experience higher than normal noise levels.

Bryan and I (Gwendolyn) bought the Historic home in 2015, I absolutely fell in love with it and the quaint waterfront town. The "Cottage" at the time was being used as a glorified storage shed. However in the past it had been many things, most recently about 2011 it was known as a small little Bar called "The Bee's Nest" then it became a small convenience store. When we first bought the property we did a quick fix up of the cottage and our son and his wife moved in and rented for a while. After buying their first home we were trying to decide what to do with the space. Open another store? Move my gift shop into the space? So Many possibilities, but we finally decided to open it to guest visiting our little town. We wanted to share our love of it with travelers/guest. It is a great little getaway location. Not wanting it to be referred to as the Bee's Nest all the time.(mine you we love a cocktail or two from time to time) We decided to rename the whole property, Gwendolyn's Marigold Manor (Built 1902). ("The Cottage" was a shed/wooden structure as far back as 1920) The cottage did so well and we had to turn people away, we created "The Queen Suite" which is on the second level, front wing of the home. It is a three room Suite and has a kitchenette, so perfect for weekenders. Then Bryan stepped in and said let's create a "King's Quarters", which we did, which is also a three room Suite. Most of our rentals allow your four legged best friend (dogs only) I owned a little gift shop in town, and said to myself, why not move it to the Manor. In 2021 we opened "The Shoppe at the Manor" Carrying gifts/souvenirs and gourmet pantry items. All we feel that our locals and visitors would like to have. We are so happy that we took the time to look at this property, we feel it was meant to be, you see, we came to town to downsize, buy a little condo on the river, we said, ha ha ha. Instead we ended up with this beautiful home, cottage and property. We love our riverfront town and hope that you will too! Gwendolyn
