Great apartment. Clean, and comfortable. The water pressure was very low, nearly unbearable, and the location isn't ideal, but very safe and comfortable neighborhood.
Bon accueil mais le prix du logement est excessif compte-tenu des prestations offertes.
We spent 4 nights in the apartment Sylvia. Everything was perfect! The apartment was clean, comfortable and exactly match the pictures on the website. Despite the fact that we missed the bus from Brussels, and could come only much later the designated time, there were no problems with arrival.
I liked the area where the apartment is located. Near the apartment a couple of good supermarkets. Many cafes and restaurants nearby. Good transport links - several convenient bus routes and direct line of metro to the city center, all in walking distance.
When we were leaving, we left our luggage to Sylvia's father in the apartment and took him to the agreed time.
Big thanks to Sylvia for the hospitality.
We spent 5 nights in Sylvia's apartment. We haven't met Sylvia, but his father, he was very simpatic, he always arrived in time, and on the last day he allowed us to leave our luggage in the flat until our departure. I don't speak french, but we were able to understand each other.
The apartment is comfortable. Since we were in four, it was very convenient that there was a separate toilet, and this, and also the bathroom are accessible directly from the bedroom and from the living room too. The flat is absolutely the same as in the pictures.
The street is very quit, and safe. Next to the building there is a primary school. The appartment is really a five-minutes walk from Place Jules Joffrin, where are the metro station, the stop of the bus number 85 (which is a good one to get the downtown), and the Montmartrobus.
On the main road (Rue Ordener) there are a lot of shops and restaurant, and there is a streetmarket nearby.
Thanks to Syilvia, and his father, I would return to their appartment.
We had a great stay in Sylvia's apartment. Sylvia's dad welcomed us to the apartment: we had a little language issue since her dad spoke only French and we spoke no French, but I think non-verbal communication carried the day and we did not have any issues getting the gist of what we needed. Also, Sylvia provided us a with a very helpful list of written instructions about everything in the house and the neighborhood.
The apartment is in a nice neighborhood in Montmartre close to the Jules Joffrin metro stop. Unlike core Montmartre (around Sacre Coeur), this was not a touristy area and felt very authentic. Just 3-4 blocks away there is a Monoprix supermarket which can provide you with all the grocery needs. There were also much more traditional groceries/bakeries/poissoneries/cafes within a 5 minute walking distance of the apartment. On one of the weekdays there is also a traditional street market which is only a couple of blocks away.
The apartment itself was bright, spacious and very comfy. The only nit we have is that there was a short supply of some essentials like toilet paper and laundry detergent in the place.
Since this is Montmartre, some of the sights like Eiffel tower/Notre Dame require you to switch Metro lines to get to them. You should budget about 15-20 mins to get to the Concorde station from Jules Joffrin from where you can make connections to Louvre/Eiffel/Notre Dame. Place de la Concorde/Musee d'Orsay do not require any line switches. A pleasant 15 min walk can take you to the heart of Montmartre at Sacre Coeur. Overall, we had a very nice stay.
Sylvia was very good at getting back to me whenever I emailed or called her. However, I never met Sylvia in person. Her father was the one that let my friend and I in and showed us around. He was a very sweet man but didn't speak English so there was a bit of a language barrier.
Very good location. Take bus 95 and you can enjoy a nice city view. Nice Sylvia.
