Check In
  • We had a fantastic time in San Francisco, and staying at Marianne's place was a big part of the experience. 1) Location, location, location! Short walk to the beach, and even shorter to great restaurants and the street car stop, by which you can get anywhere you want to go. 2) Excellent provisions in the kitchen: fresh sourdough, plenty of good coffee and breakfast ingredients. So tasty. 3) Comfortable furniture, beds, plenty of linens and toiletries to boot. My teenagers loved that. 4) On a more practical note, we were delighted (no kidding) to have a garage and laundry facilities. 5) Finally, Marianne was an extremely welcoming host. She checked in on us and was always available if we had questions about the house, or even about activities in the city. Thank you, Marianne; we'd love to visit your place again!

  • Marianne's home was perfect for our family of six during our Spring Break vacation in SF. At check-in, she meet us at the house to show us around and made sure that we were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cereal, bread, milk and OJ. Our 2 children had a complete breakfast every morning. The house layout was perfect also. We all gather in the living room upstairs after a day of sightseeing to talk and watch TV. Our parents have their privacy with their room downstairs. It was raining on one of the days, and my father was able to borrow the coat in the closet to stay dry.

The house is close to N-Line and it made our daily commute to various attractions easy. She prepared a binder that is full of useful and helpful information. Marianne's home is cozy and homey. We would recommend it to all.

  • Me and my friend travelled by car in California. San-Francisco was first city where we was staying during the trip. Also it was our first AirBnb experience. And our staying was better that we can expect. Marianne was very helpful, she met us, showed the house. In Marianne's house you have everything you need for comfort staying. Location is great, area is very peaceful. Not far from the house you can find Beach cafe or something like this (can't remember the exact name:) where you can have a good breakfast and coffee. Totally recommend to everyone to stay at this house.

  • Stayed at Marianne's awesome beach house this past weekend...couldn't have asked for a more welcoming host and a better home base for our adventures in San Francisco....surf was great and only steps from our door, and the house has absolutely everything you could possibly need, and more! Felt like home the moment we arrived.
Thanks so much for having us, hope to return for Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2013!

  • Marianne was such a gracious host. Very detailed and accommodating to myself and my coworkers. Stayed an extra day and she worked everything out. I highly recommend staying at the beachhouse. Great eateries close by and, of course, the beach! Thanks Marianne for making our stay great!

  • Me and my friends came to san francisco from the UK for a dragonboating competition and was so so lucky to find a host like marianne!! she was amazing from the start till the end. The house was stocked with everything you will need plus more (my friend loved the disposal coffee cups the most :P). I will recommend this place to my friends if they ever need a place to stay in SF!!!

  • Marianne is a wonderful host: easy to deal with, we were not able to do a long check in but she provide us all the necessary informations to leave and move in San Francisco, plus pertinent advices about the visits.
I went to her house with 5 of my friends, it was really comfortable for this amount of people, the house was filled of all the necessary consumables and even more !!
I can say Marianne do everything she can to make your stay pleasant and easy, I highly recommend her as a host.

  • Wow! I literally could have not packed a single thing and would have had everything I needed thanks to Marianne! She made us feel like we were staying with relatives with the hand-tied ribbons around the towels, bathroom incidentals like shampoo and conditioner and bagels and coffee awaiting us in the kitchen. We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the house is perfect for people looking to spend time at the beach or Golden Gate Park. The neighborhood is quiet and parking is very easy. Some great restaurants just down the block and a convenience store just across the street!

  • What can I say? Marianne's beachhouse was beautiful, homey, and provided a comfortable living space for my family who were visiting from Boston during Memorial Day Weekend. Upon arrival, Marianne greeted me with a warm smile and showed me around her beachhouse, which was fully stocked and 10x better than any overpriced, cramped San Francisco hotel room. The location of the beachhouse is a little far away from Downtown, but if you're in town visiting and you plan on renting a car (which I do recommend), Marianne also has a garage that fits a full-size car comfortably. Its location is wonderful though; it is in a good neighborhood with lots of local shops, restaurants, and cafes and you're only two blocks away from Ocean Beach. I'd like to take the time to rave about Marianne's kitchen however; it has all the amenities you would need if you choose to spend a night in to whip up your own dinner. She also made a point to let me know that I am welcome to use anything within the house and she even brought fresh bagels, fruit, juice, and jams for me and my family to have. All in all, my family loved their experience. The house was clean and serene and offered lots of space for you to relax after spending the day taking in San Francisco. The beach house is a wonderful space and it comes with an even superior host! :)

Hello, I was born nearby in the Sunset district of San Francisco, but now live in the South Bay city of Sunnyvale. I have always loved San Francisco and this little Ocean Beach house is my dream City getaway that I would like to share with others. As it is my second home, you will have it privately for yourself. If there is anything you need from me during your stay, just give me a call, I live within easy driving distance. I love the city public transportation which is available just a few houses away, and spend my spare days enjoying the nearby beach, attending events all over the city, exploring the many interesting neighborhoods and just walking around.
