A very comfortable and convenient place to stay. Marlous, the host is a great person to be offering Airbnb accommodation, she is happy to be flexible on arrivals and departures, has lots of knowledge about Melbourne and goes out of her way to make you feel at home. So if you are looking for a place to stay for pleasure or business then I can highly recommend this location.
Our time within Melbourne was made so much better by the welcoming attitude of marlous and her daughter. The house was lovely and clean we had our own bathroom which a nice touch, we also had are own living area and use of the kitchen all in all it was a brilliant place and I'd stay there again in heartbeat.
Everything was perfect! The room is very pretty, quiet. I slept very well. And host is very very kind. I arrived late, but there was nothing problem to check in and host welcome us.
Malous, Thank you very much!^^
Everything was perfect! Marlous is the most wonderful hostess and could not do enough for us. She made us so welcome in her lovely house. Her tips and knowledge were very useful and the food excellent. We had a brilliant time and the bed was so comfy we slept in every morning and had sweet dreams! We will never forget our stay. Thanks to a great person for a memorable experience!
I had a week-long conference at Monash Caulfield and wanted to stay somewhere close by and hassle-free, and Marlous's place was perfect! Only 2 train stops away from Caulfield, or a pleasant 45 min walk if you're feeling energetic. Entire house was lovely and comfortable (and decorated beautifully for Christmas), like a home away from home. I was able to use the kitchen as I needed, and it was a short walk to various restaurants and take-aways. Breakfasts were simple but with plenty of variety in cereals and toast spreads. Marlous and her daughter were lovely and always up for a chat, but gave me my own space as well. They even kindly shared dinner with me one night. I made friends with their elderly Labrador and the two dogs they were looking after at the time. It was so nice to come home to a quiet house and my own space after spending all day in talks at the university. I would definitely stay here again if I had another conference at Monash.
Lovely hosts lovely house room bathroom. Room small but more than made up for by access to comfortable family room. Represents value for money. Women travelling alone will feel safe here. Gay women will feel comfortable here. Very pleasant and relaxed stay.
Marlous is a generous host. We really appreciated her flexibility. Free parking and proximity to trains to the city as well as the possibility to use the kitchen were a plus for us.
Hello, My name is Marlous. My daughter, Yalenka, and I are keen to meet fellow travelers and learn about different cultures. I am a teacher, at a Vocational College and my daughter is a Primary School Teacher.
Originally from Holland, I am well traveled and know Melbourne like the back of my hand. I will be happy to help you with directions, advice on the best things to see and do during your stay.
We have a gorgeous large room on offer, with a double bed. Suitable ONLY for a single person or couple.
A private bathroom shower/bath/toilet is provided as well as a "help yourself" breakfast included in the cost of your stay.
We look forward to meeting you.
We have an elderly golden retriever and occasionally mind other dogs so you do need to be a dog lover. However, the dogs are only allowed in the back part of the house which keeps them out of bedrooms and the house clean.
