One of the big highlights and tourist attractions of Gozo is the Azure Window and the Inland Sea, which can be easily accessed through a bus ride from in front of the apartment. Overlooking Nadur is the village of Xaghra, where one can visit the Ggantija Temples; some of the oldest manmade temples in the world.
Gozo is a small island, but is rich in culture. Feasts (Village Festivals) are celebrated each weekend from May till the end of September, with fireworks, bands and local food, beer and wine. Gozo is also a haven for snorkelers and scuba divers offering one of the finest underwater experiences in the world. There are several scuba diving schools around the island for beginners all the way to advanced divers.
From Malta one needs to take a ferry to come to Gozo. The ferry service is very frequent, and takes about 20 minutes for each trip.
We look forward to your arrival.
Public transport is very regular and bus stop is about 50 meters away from the apartment.
Peter and Joanne were very lovely and helpful.
Had a fantastic stay at this cute little apartment, clean, well equiped and very well located (everything in Gozo is close) a great choice of beaches when it's windy with in 5mins drive or Ramle bay with in 10min walk.
When we arrived Joana waited for us and prepared some fresh sandwiches. a nice touch. very welcoming hosts. who also shared top tips with us for local area.
My experience at this apartment was wonderful. The apartment is setting in a nice area and very close to the beautiful views of the bay. Joanne was very friendly and even prepared us a sandwich for when we arrived. The apartment was clean, designed beautifully and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay in Gozo - thank you Joanne!
Joanne was very kind to us and helpful. She picked us up at the ferry temrinal and prepared us some snacks. She was here for us during all our stay.
The neighbourhood was very quiet, close to the ferry terminal (usefull if you wanna go to Malta or Comino). Also the house is very close the Ramla bay. However if you want to stay in a very active place with some bar and nightlife, it's not the right place to be which was OK for us.
The appartment was very clean, with lot of space and nicely decorated compared to what you can find in Gozo on airbnb. We really loved the terrasse. It's such a pleasure to have our breafast under the sun of Gozo. However, it would be even better if the bed was wider or of better quality. Also we missed some basics stuff as more trashbags, toilet papers etc...
Overall a very good experience.
We stayed for two weeks+ in this lovely apartment. The kitchen and bathroom are of very high quality; especially the oven. Terrace is a little bit weather dependent, but nice in the late afternoon (april/may period). At first (April) the apartment seemed a little bit cold (nothing a good pullover couldn't fix); in the second week of our stay (May) we were happy to come home in a cool apartment after a hot walk. As mentioned already in the other reviews the apartment is very clean. When we wanted to cook more complicated things, it was no problem borrowing some extra kitchen equipment from our hosts. We could really make us feel at home.
Joane and Peter are very nice and open for suggestions. When we arrived they picked us up at the ferry and there were some nice sandwiches and a bottle of water ready to eat. We had a very early flight back home, but it was no problem for them to bring us (at 5:30 in the morning!) to the ferry. They also booked a taxi for us on Malta which brought us straight from the ferry to the airport, a very welcome service. They really made sure we had a pleasent stay. We highly recommend this lovely place!
Lovely, clean and spacious apartment, modern and well equipped for a couple.
The tv is on its last legs - needed about 15 minutes to warm up - but the owners said they were aware. Also it was a bit cold for our January stay but we were able to rent a gas heater from the owners for the last two nights of our stay (15 euros extra).
Peter kindly picked us up at the ferry when we arrived on Gozo and Joanne had kindly made us some filled rolls. The apartment was substantial in size, very clean, totally private, and on ground floor level. The bus stop was nearby as was the grocery store.
Having used Airbnb many times over the last 2 years I would say that Joanne's apartment on Gozo is definitely one of the best. Spotlessly clean with all you will need for a perfect stay. Joanne is friendly and helpful, she even left a couple of ham salad rolls in the fridge for us. There is a bus stop minutes away to take you anywhere on the island. Ramla Bay beach is just down the road. We really enjoyed our stay with Joanne.
