A very enjoyable lovely place to stay and our favorite was being able to have a fire in the fireplace every night with firewood provided by Elizabeth( host). The attention to detail and the guests comfort needs were totally met. The bed was especially comfy, you get clean towels daily with the room being freshly stocked with goodies for morning breakfast and the staff were very helpful in offering their assistance daily. A must stay for those who want to feel at home in another state. We totally enjoyed our stay and thank you for making us feel special. We did think we were closer to the north end ( Italian restaurants) to walk it, but found we needed to Uber it since it was too far and not so easy to get to. The neighborhood is more residential than near to shopping, etc, so plan to Uber/ taxi drive to other locations. The TV's are extremely small to view, but if you sit up on the comfy couches you will not experience shadows that upstruct the TV view. Other than that it truly was a charming atmosphere and comfy place to stay with staff very attentive and available. This was our first airbnb and we loved it! Thank you Elizabeth and Staff!

Response from Elizabeth:
Thank you very much--Suzanne-we are very happy you enjoyed the suite! For others considering booking, I wanted to clarify that we are a 25 minute walk from the North End/Little Italy, which is a straight down Main Street and across the Charlestown/North End Bridge a mile away. Also, we are very close to all public transit: just an 8-minute walk from the subway and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Downtown is just 2 subway stops and about 10 minutes away. Most guests have enjoyed the walk to the North End through our quiet neighborhood, which is the oldest in Boston. The architecture and views from the Charlestown Bridge are fabulous! Having small televisions was a judgment call on our part, intended to allow guests to appreciate the 18th-century architecture and decor of the space, rather than being dominated by a large television set. As an art historian and designer, I tried to strike a balance between comfort and beauty, but realize that some people do enjoy a larger television. Thank you for letting us know about the cleanliness issue! We will make sure the rafters are vacuumed and the dust cleaned from the radiators and surfaces. Thank you for being our guests, and we will try do do better next time!

Elizabeth is a wonderful host. This beautiful apartment, which is exactly as described, is very clean and comfortable, and had plenty of space for my wife and me. The king sized bed with exceptionally soft sheets, was a very welcome amenity especially after a long day walking around Boston. Wonderful balcony. Location was perfect, in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Only 10 min walk to the community college metro stop.

Elizabeth was beyond welcoming and accommodating. She was flexible on our arrival time. When we did get there, she explained all about the property, room and what we had available to us. We we both blown away at how lovely the suite was decorated (and its history). This is a true hidden gem and one that we have already circulated to friends and family who visit Boston often!

Friendly art historian/designer.

Born and raised in Asia, I love international design and traditional folk arts, which is why my spaces are eclectic, decorated in European, Pan-Asian, and Moroccan styles. One of the main reasons I like sharing my spaces is because, in this way, I am also sharing experiences and beauty I have encountered while traveling.
