Welcome to the Raven's Nest! This luxury suite in scenic Paradise Valley has everything you need to rest and revive from your local adventures or work remotely.

Enjoy organic bedding, a stocked kitchen and huge tiled shower. Soak up the views from the semi-private backyard.

Located 45 mins. from the north entrance to Yellowstone, 15 minutes from Chico Hot Springs & Sage Lodge, 5 minutes from Pine Creek area, one mile from Loch Leven fishing access/beach at the scenic Yellowstone River.

The space
Raven's Nest is a private studio guest apartment featuring a super-comfortable king bed and a folding sofabed (wide twin when opened).

Located on the two-acre Northern Yellowstone Basecamp complex, this unit is part of a duplex with the Wolf's Den, also a vacation rental, which can host up to 6 guests.

(Please note that this is A 2-UNIT HOME - there are shared walls in the bathroom and hallway, plus a partial privacy fence in the backyard. If you are sensitive to sound, this may not be the best place for you as you can occasional hear guests in the other unit).

Both units can be rented together if available, particularly for weddings or events at the beautiful Copper Rose venue next door (also the owner's cabin coming available June 20210. See availability for 'Scenery and Science at Yellowstone Basecamp' also on Airbnb and contact us for details.

The unit is also attached to the garage being used as a field station by Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC) technicians. The attached wall is insulated from the garage, plus the techs know to keep quiet when working and there are guests!

Enjoy the great outdoors on the back patio, or gaze at the majestic views and local wildlife out front. Nesting osprey, mountain chickadees, and mountain bluebirds are frequent visitors, while a herd of deer crosses the property daily.

Raven's kitchen has induction cookstove, microwave and toaster oven. Washer/dryer is outside the unit and may be shared with YERC staff or other property guests.

One extremely well-behaved non or light-shedding pet may be allowed (dogs only, sorry no cats) - contact us with info on your furry friend. Due to the upscale accommodations and materials, we do require advance information on pet details and may require pet security deposit.

Please call me Bob! I am the founder and chief scientist at the Yellowstone Ecological Research Center (YERC). Over my 30-plus years working in the Greater Yellowstone, my research interests have sought a more holistic connection between nature, people, and technology. That’s led to what I call “Adaptive Ecology,” studying not only how ecosystems adapt to changing conditions, but how the science of ecology must adapt to social and technological changes as well. That focus drives YERC’s mission today. Personally, I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and finding common ground among cultures and communities. I love sharing my knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone area and ecology, the best places to spot local wildlife, and my favorite watering holes in the area.

During your stay

I work in Bozeman but spend much of my time in my "backyard" of the Yellowstone area and do visit the property and field station weekly. I look forward to meeting you when I am there!
