Lovely room. Great neighborhood.
Jo-An was an amazing host. Provided warm hospitality and great advice about the area. She was always available to assist and makes great tea for breakfast!
The room itself was very comfortable and well stocked.
Hope to return and would definitely stay again!
She is simply very mean. If i wanted to say anything, she would immediately turn her back to me.Absolutely awful. The kitchen was dirty with the same cleaning towel unwashed for the month I was there. The two large parrots constantly squak loudly. And she worked in the room to watch TV until long after 5PM. I would not stay here again even if it were offered FREE.
I did not review his stay because it was so distasteful. This old man could barely walk, mainly because he drank so much. Every afternoon he would come in and drink a bottle of wine and then down a few beers. He was rude to my tenant, rude to me - even tried propositioning me the first week he was here. He could not find the house and called me on the phone at least 8 times - screaming at me -- I had to go out into the street and direct him to the house the evening of his arrival. This man was so disrespectful. He put his dirty feet on top of my laptop, made disparaging comments about my house rules. He left a mess in the kitchen with empty beer cans and wine bottles. He would interrupt me when I was on the phone, yelling at me. I think he has a hearing problem in addition to a drinking problem, courtesy and boundary problems. Is there a way I may respond to his nasty comments about me and my home?
Had a great stay at Jo-An's in St. Petersburg. Wonderful home and neighborhood. Nice size bedroom with bed and bath.
A very comfortable suite - queen-sized, comfortable bed and full bath - awaits visitors to Jo-An's home. An artist with a flair for painting bamboo, and a house full of original paintings, including many by Paul Arsenault, makes this a special (website hidden)-An is cheerful, helpful, accommodating and all in all an excellent hostess. Her place is on a quiet side street quite close to St. Petersburg's central district, with convenient stores of all kinds nearby. The "piece de resistance" is a lovely backyard pool. (Unfortunately for us the weather was chilly and the pool heater did not work, so we couldn't take full advantage of this bonus.)
Only shortcomings (not serious) were on-street parking, no chest of drawers in the room - although closet space aplenty - and adequate but antiquated plumbing.
