Everything was just as advertised and Jo-An was very hospitable. On her recommendation, I had breakfast at Cassis and it was delicious!
Jo An was a gracious, thoughtful host. The room was spacious and a comfortable temperature. The attached bathroom was large, with a nice closet and plenty of hot water. JoAn shared her pool, provided plenty of towels, and pointed us to a delicious breakfast spot.
Jo An was really nice, friendly and helpful. The room and connected bathroom were very clean and orderly. However the rest of the house was not in such good condition. It was pretty untidy. Although I used the pool, it and the pool surrounding was pretty dirty. Condition is aggravated by the cats and parrots around the place. The location was perfect for us and the neighborhood was really traditional St Petersburg. We wnjoyed our stay.
What Eric was disturbed about was all the pollen from the trees this time of year, what appears dirty is the pollen from the trees. As to the rest of the house only the office is "untidy" as I explained that we had just moved our boxes to the office in the house.
My home is clean - I have cleaning folks who clean the house so I am at a loss as to Eric's comments about the cleanliness of the property and house. None of my other guests had that impression.
Jo-An welcomed us so warmy that we felt that we were old (website hidden)-An went extra miles to help us to feel comfortable as if we were in our home town. Her house was nice and clean. Her house is well located near down town St. Pete in a beautiful and safe area. We could privately use a nice bathroom and kitchen, which was great. I strongly recommend Jo-An's place for travelers in this area. Overall, thumbs up! Thank you Jo-An for your hospitability!
Jo-An is the perfect hostess to introduce newcomers to St. Petersburg, FL. Her love of the arts is reflected in her charming and immaculate home. Florida is present both inside and out. The large moss filled trees and sunny swimming pool and Jo-An's hard working but fun personality made our stay just what we had hoped for.
We enjoyed walking and using public transportation to visit the downtown museums, the beach and the delicious restaurants in the area. The neighborhoods in this historic old NE side of St. Pete (including Jo-An's) were lovely to stroll through and the nearby Crescent Lake was a (website hidden)-An was a great source of information and advice.
We encourage anyone to stay at Jo-An's for a relaxing visit and a fun way to get to know the culture and learn about this wonderful city.
The listing was accurately described. It was very easy to communicate with the (website hidden)-An was very accommodating with our needs. This was our first airbnb experience, and we are happy that it went so smoothly.
Jo-An's house was well located to downtown (just a 5 minute drive). The accommodations were comfortable and she made us lovely European style breakfast of ham and melted cheese on French bread with fresh fruit cocktail and (website hidden)-An was very helpful answering all our questions about the St Petersburg area. We had a lovely stay

I love St. Pete for all the art galleries, museums, studios and shows. The marinas downtown add special beauty to the harbor and waterfront. Strolling the town, Sunday brunch at the many sidewalk cafes and spending time shopping the many interesting shops is a great way to spend the day.
