Do you like to sleep with the sound of the forest? This year we opened our Glamping tent in Satul Cheia. Equipped with a double bed with electric blanket and hot water bottles, even solar power and high-speed WiFi ... you'll be the king of the campers in our yard. We invite you to come and simply relax, read a book, sit by the fire, breathe, and enjoy the nature. Our place is accessible only by foot or a equipped 4x4 🚗
We can also arrange transport by car to our location. Let us know!

"Dear guests, we warmly welcome you to our forest glamping! Please be aware that during the busy months of July and August, our courtyard may be lively with visitors during the day, especially those arriving via Râmeț Gorge, a beautiful natural reserve. We kindly inform you that these visitors will be leaving in the afternoon. We want to ensure your stay is enjoyable and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to hosting you!"

There is a hot water outdoor shower and a dry toilet with sink. You are also welcome to wash up in one of the rivers, which will be a very refreshing experience.


We love to make bonfires. The space is also open for tourists with tents.

Additional details:
- For your safety, we kindly ask that you refrain from arriving at our overnight or using the trail after dark, as our area is inhabited by 🐻 and wolves 🐺. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Thank you."
- The area is wild, natural, basic. You'll be staying in the center of Cheia, an abandoned village without road or electricity connection - a real place in the middle of nowhere. Instead, you will find rivers, mountains, beautiful views, hikes, two sweet dogs, chickens and fresh eggs, a few horses, endless green... and us.

- We’re happy to offer 🚗 4x4 transport to the cabin from Brădești to our location or even from Aiud town — for a small extra fee. Just let us know in advance!

Honestly, the tent is delightful. It features an electric underblanket, making the fresh Cheia summer nights a wild yet comfortable romantic escape.

Guest access
You'll have access to the summer kitchen, where you can cook a meal and also buy some food (fresh eggs, pasta, rice, polenta, lentils etc.) from us. We have coffee and tea as well.

How to get here:

** By car:
The only route to get to us is from the city of AIUD. We will send you a GPS track to follow. From Aiud you will take a turn and drive straight ahead until you reach Bradesti, after 30km, in the mountains. There, you park your car (it is safe) and start your hike downhill, 1,5 hours by foot on the national hiking route (blue cross).
Upon request, we can pick you up with an 4x4 transport to the cabin or even from Aiud town — for an extra fee. Just let us know in advance!


** By bus or train:
You can reach Aiud from major cities by train or bus.
From Aiud, we can arrange to pick you up with an 4x4 transport to our location or even from Brădeşti — Just let us know in advance!

Cheia Village is our home! Ethnographic preservation site in the heart of Apuseni Mountains in Romania. Here the lack of a functional road for cars and the lack of electricity, added value to this place.. Going so nice and smooth.....back in time!
