Welcome to the Great White North! Staying in a double yurt is a truly unique glamping experience! our Yurt is nested in the woods at the edge of a field on our 100-acre working heritage farm in beautiful Northern Ontario! Enjoy the spring on our farm enjoying over 50 acres of woodland trails, visiting the farm animals, or just relaxing beside the woodstove in the yurt.

Winter is upon us, with the cooler nights the woodstove is operational to keep the Yurt nice and toasty!!

The space
Our yurt is actually two yurts attached together in a figure 8 pattern!! It’s a truly unique and one of a kind space, handcrafted on our farm by farmer and yurt builder Mattimus.

This is a Glamping Experience, you should plan for a camping trip with advanced amenities, which means OFF GRID. There is no WIFI or hydro in the yurt. We provide a mobile power bank for powering the lights & charging devices.

a Yurt is a lattice walled tent covered with canvas, and has light felt insulation. If you are planning your stay during the Winter, please curb your expectations, while the Yurt is heated with a large air tight woodstove, it can and will still get cool during the nights as temperatures drop, and the wood burns down in the stove.

We provide seasoned hardwoods for the stove as part of your stay, and ensure you have plenty of wood to keep the stove burning and warm, however a woodstove requires considerable attention to ensure its working properly to keep you comfortable during your stay, especially for Winter stays we highly recommend you have previous experience with camping, staying in heated tents/cabins during the winter, or using a woodstove.

Washroom facilities are an outdoor outhouse equipped with hand wash station

For cooking we provide a BBQ, and allow light cooking inside the Yurt during the Winter months on the woodstove.

Some guests prefer to bring their own bedding (sleeping bags etc.)

We do provided Bed linins and sheets if needed & requested. We HIGHLY recommend brining an additional blanket or two during your stay in the Winter.

We do have over 50 acres of private woodland trails to hike and enjoy while you are staying.

Yurts are a 4000 year old structure which resonates with nature with its circular form based in sacred geometry. Our Yurt is set up on our heritage farm where you have the opportunities to see and enjoy a wide range of endangered breed livestock, and small farming activities taking place
