Courtney is a standout host
Guests highlight how responsive and welcoming Courtney is, with many calling the home gorgeous.
Restored lakefront home on Main Street with a private dock, canoes, and kayaks steps from your door. Summer means paddling, swimming, and evenings on the lake. Winter means ice skating in the front yard and skiing at Mt. Abrams (5 min) or Sunday River (20 min).
Custom kitchen, cozy modern finishes, smart TV, and fast WiFi. One of Bethel/Greenwood's most charming addresses — book before it's gone. Summer will sell out.

The space
There's a moment that happens at this house — usually on the first evening, when the sun starts dropping behind the tree line and the lake goes gold and still — where someone in your group says this is exactly what I needed. That's the feeling this place is built around.
This newly renovated lakefront home on Main Street sits right on the water, with unobstructed lake views from the moment you walk in. The finishes are modern but warm — custom kitchen, custom dining nook, thoughtful details throughout — the kind of place that feels both designed and lived-in. It sleeps six, and it's suited for couples, small families, and close friend groups who want a real retreat, not just a place to crash.
The private dock is yours for the week. So are the canoe, two kayaks and paddleboard — pull them out whenever the mood strikes, no planning required. The mini swimming beach means kids (and adults who are honest about it) can wade straight in from the yard. Loons call across the water in the morning. Eagles circle overhead. Beavers work the far bank at dusk. The wildlife here isn't incidental — it's part of what makes the place feel genuinely Maine.
The yard is large, open, and made for long summer days — corn hole, lawn games, and easy flow between inside and out. When the sun goes down, the fire pit takes over. S'more sticks are provided. This is the part of the trip everyone remembers.
The kitchen is fully renovated and ready for real cooking — not the usual rental situation where you're hunting for a second pan. Crystal clear mountain drinking water comes straight from the in-house dispenser. Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon, and everything else for quiet nights in. Super-fast high-speed WiFi throughout, which means if you're one of those people who needs to sneak in a few hours of work while pretending to be fully off the grid, you're covered. Nobody has to know.
The lake doesn't close for the season — it just changes. Ice skating in the front yard is one of those experiences that sounds charming in theory and turns out to be genuinely magical in practice. Mt. Abrams is 2.4 miles away. Sunday River is 5.6. You can be on the mountain and back at the house for lunch without much effort.
BETHEL, MAINE — 5 MILES AWAY
Named one of New England's top ten prettiest mountain towns by Yankee Magazine, Bethel sits where the White Mountain National Forest's Mahoosuc Range spills over from New Hampshire into Maine. It's small, historic, and has no business being this good.
Main Street has boutique shops, bakeries, cafes, and the Gem Theater — a historic independent movie theater that's exactly the kind of place you hope still exists and are glad to find it does. Two grocery stores (Bethel Foodliner and Good Food Store) mean you can stock the kitchen properly when you arrive. A golf course, nature trails, and a bait and tackle shop (Sport Thorma) cover the slower days.
For food and drink: Mountain Social, LeMe Eats, 22 Broad Street, Sunday River Brewing Company, Smokin' Good BBQ, The Sudbury Inn, Suds Pub, Cho Sun, Butcher Burger, The Bethel Inn, and the clubhouse at the Sunday River Golf Course are all gems.
WHO THIS HOME IS FOR
Couples, small families, and friend groups of up to six who want to actually slow down. Swimmers, paddlers, skiers, hikers, people who want to read on a dock and not think about anything for a few days. Guests of all ages are welcome — babies and young children included.
Summer weeks and ski season dates go fast. Check your dates and book before someone else does.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and property.
Other things to note
House comes fully stocked with linens, towels, shampoo and conditioner.
The house is easy to find, right along Main Street on your way to Sunday River. Being steps from the main road in and out of town does come with road noise from logging trucks and cars as a heads up.

Hello, I’m Courtney!
My husband Patrick and I work in the film industry and travel the world shooting commercials and brand campaigns. We live just outside Boston with our two young kids who love to ski as much as we do. We are excited to share our family getaway homes with avid skiers, hikers, and simply people looking to enjoy the great outdoors in Maine.
