Scott and Lynn's home is beautiful and impeccably clean, quiet and very welcoming. We appreciated the beautiful artwork and the yard and garden couldn't be more beautiful at this time of year. The bed and room were very comfortable--breakfast was delicious and even more than we expected. Absolutely everything that we needed was there for us. We really enjoyed meeting our hosts who were very thoughtful and interesting and obviously care about the comfort of their guests. We would definitely come back and recommend their 'country in the city' home very highly to anyone who is traveling to Ann Arbor.
This is a wonderful, attractive home with kind, hospitable, friendly hosts and two adorable cats. The house is in a pretty neighborhood of Ann Arbor on a dirt road, which makes it feel like you are in the country. In reality, you are close to many amenities. The backyard is very pretty with a deck, garden, and lots of nice places to sit. The bedroom is pretty and comfortable. The kitchen and bath are very clean.
I am particularly fond of my feline hostess, Cinnamon, who followed me around, visited me in my room and sat with me on the bench in the backyard.
County Farm Park, with dirt paths, is nearby. The house is close (driving distance) to two Whole Foods and the Stadium. There is a quick back way to Nichols Arboretum, which is an amazing place to run (lots of hills on the auxiliary trails) and walk.
I plan to visit Scott, Lynn, Rosemary and Cinnamon again soon at Ann Arbor Country in the City.
I really enjoyed staying at Scott and Lynn's place! There house is quaint and very clean. The house looks as good as the picture and there is a back deck as well that is just as comfortable and inviting. I had a private room and dedicated bathroom and they provided just what I needed. I was able to put a few things in the fridge and enjoyed our morning breakfast chats. This was a much more enjoyable experience than staying at any hotel.
Lynn & Scott were absolutely WONDERFUL hosts! Their house was cozy and comfortable and they were so incredibly accomodating. Both Lynn & Scott were so friendly and personable and made us feel welcome in their home. They made recommendations for Ann Arbor seeing as though we were first-time visitors. Also - comfortable bed! Maybe one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! Incredible experience. I would definitely recommend staying with them - I know I will if I ever find myself again in Ann Arbor!
Very welcoming and accommodating of some of my special needs. Nice set up but I am not sure how it would have worked if the other rooms were rented also (I was the only one there).
Street is quiet and out of the way but only 2 miles from campus, synagogue, stadium. I would definitely consider this location again.
Thanks Jonathan! As far as your concern, our policy (as I wrote to you originally) is to only rent the rooms to one group or family at a time just so the bathroom is NOT shared. When you rented the one room I blocked the dates for the other room. So no worries!
