Sequoia Meadows is located in the heart of Camp Nelson, just minutes from the giant sequoia trees, many over 3,000 years old! The compound consists of three connected cabins, on over 4 1/2 acres of private land. One cabin has a kitchen and all have patios and bathrooms. There is a year-round running stream along Sequoia Meadows, soaring trees, awe-inspiring mountain vistas, a bucolic meadow and families of deer around the property. Picnic tables are set up with the option for outdoor dining.

The space
The listing is for all three cabins. Each cabin can accommodate two people in either king or queen beds (for a total of six people). Each cabin has its own seating area, microwave, mini fridge, and en-suite bathroom with tub shower. All cabins have WiFi and tv with DVD players. Alpina cabin has a full kitchen, Belvedere cabin has a dining room overlooking the forest and Clairmont cabin has a private patio overlooking the forest.

Other things to note
Camp Nelson Tap Water

Following the Sequoia Complex Fire in September the local water company has had tap water quality issues. Therefore we provide bottled water for drinking and cooking for our guests.

Dog policy

We love dogs and decided from the start to make Sequoia Meadows a dog-friendly vacation destination. Because some people are allergic to cat dander, cats and other pets including birds, potbellied pigs, rabbits, rodents, reptiles and all other non canine creatures are not permitted. So that we can continue to offer dogs a chance to vacation here with their families, we need your help with following these guidelines.

We charge a pet fee of $50 with an additional $50 for a second dog (a maximum total of 2 dogs). If you are staying for a week or longer the fee is $100 a week for the first pet and $75 per week for an additional dog.

Dogs under the age of one-year are not allowed because of chewing and bladder control. Dogs over 50 lbs are also not permitted.

All dogs should be current on all vaccinations, including rabies. All dogs should be treated with flea and tick control, like Frontline or Advantage, 3 days before arrival. This is as much for the well-being of your dog as it is for the cabins. We are located in nature where pests thrive. Be aware that there are deer ticks that could threaten the well-being of your furry friend.

Dogs must always be on a leash and supervised by the owner while outside and they must never be left unattended in the cabins or cars parked on the property. Barking dogs should not be brought to the property as it will disturb our neighbors.

Please let us know in advance if you are bringing your dog. We will provide a clean dog bed for your pet’s stay.

I’ve been coming to the Sequoias before my children were born. This is where they played in nature through the seasons. They learned to fish in the Tule River, to hike and camp in the forest and to love nature. I work in the communications industry and between publishing a daily newspaper and producing television shows, the Sequoias are a welcome sanctuary to recharge and revive. I am delighted to share this special place with you and hope that you find the joy and peace that we have.
