Trevor and Silvi are lovely people. They double booked us, which turned out to be better for us as we got to stay in the cottage instead. The cottage is very colourful and super cute. They also left some bread, fruit and milk for us, which ment we didn't have to waste money on eating out for breakfast. My friend and I had a lovely stay here. Thank you
We had a lovely night at Villa Paradiso, in a terrific location. Trevor was very welcoming and accommodating, and we felt right at home. The house is beautiful - large and cool, with big rooms and polished floorboards. Highly recommended!
I booked the whole house for only one night to accomodate 10 adults. It's a beautiful house on the inside, very clean and well appointed; big kitchen with huge commercial oven, TV's in most of the bedrooms. The host provided quite a lot of food and condiments such as bread, juice, fresh fruit, spreads etc. At the time of our stay the backyard was pretty unkempt. That wasn't a problem for us but I'd be weary of letting children loose into it.
It is very well located, very close to the town centre. It's on the Highway so its a little bit noisy (particularly during the truck festival!) but we didn't find this a problem. I found the host very friendly and accommodating.
We had a lovely stay at Villa Paridiso- the house was very clean and cosy and had a very well equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom. Highly recommended right in the heart of Castlemaine.
Thankyou very much for the positive feedback. You are welcome anytime. Keep your eye on a property in Castlemaine which is the old blacksmith shop at the back of Selvi's Curry House. It will be a replica of Villa Paradiso with cedar cathedral ceilings, jarrah floors and the best of bathroom and kitchen facilities. You will like it I am sure
We had mixed feelings about our stay at Villa Paradiso. We felt that there were a few areas where there could be improvement. We would suggest that the pricing structure clearly indicates that the cost is per room, rather than for the house as the way it is advertised is easy to misinterpret. In addition, as a group of eight there was insufficient cutlery and crockery together with no cooking utensils. Further to this, both the oven and the air conditioning did not work. Having said that, it was a charming house, very spacious and central to Castlemaine. The owners had also kindly provided us with complimentary bread, milk and fruit.
Selvi and Trevor made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. There were a lot of nice extras such as: orange juice, milk, bread, butter, coffee, and a variety of teas etc., as well as Selvi's beautiful noodles. The house is actually better than the pictures depict as there have been some furniture additions and there is also a TV/Video combo, as well as some fans, which were much appreciated during the very hot days we spent there. The house has a nice open, airy feel to it and it is very comfortable. A bonus was being able to take my dog, and there is a decent size backyard/ frontyard as well as a gate to keep your pet inside the property. Off-street parking, a great Chinese restaurant/take-away just steps away and close enough to walk into town. The Botanical Gardens is five minutes walk away. My daughter and I only stayed for two nights and would have loved to have been there longer. I will definitely stay there again, and I thoroughly recommend it for anyone. It has four large bedrooms, so is ideal for families as well.
Selvi and Trevor were really lovely and accommodating hosts! The house was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and spacious, and we had eveything we needed within reach! Very central location to the main street of Castlemaine. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay the weekend!
Thanks again guys!
