This place is an independent villa built on a 400 Sq Yd land. Situated in heart of Gurgaon (DLF Phase II). This area of Gurgaon is the first residential colony after the International Airport towards Gurgaon and from Delhi and one of the most poshest ones. Therefore its very strategically located.
Its an independent accommodation with an housekeeper to help with daily chores. Surrounded by private garden it only has 1 bedroom, 1 lounge / dining room, 1 pantry and 1 bathroom. Very suitable for a family with kids. Has all modern amenities such as WiFi, FlatScreen TV, Air Conditioners, Refrigerator, Cabinets etc.
About 15 Kms (or 25 min) from International Airport and very close to main NCR commercial hub. It is built for personal use however being uploaded to accomodate guests for 95% of time the owners are not present. It has a very well maintained garden and the housekeeper room is outside the guest rooms so that complete independence is available for guests. Kitchen is equipped with basic stuff for you to cook. Guests can use one room as bed room and another as a meeting room for meeting and/or inviting other guests over.
There is a 24/7 care taker in the house (lives in a separate accommodation without any interference) who acts as a security guard, home maintainer however he will not wash clothes or wash utensils. He can manage some small stuff.
This place is very near to awesome restaurants that can be home delivered including most of the international food chains. There are general stores nearby to order regular home stuff.
Great Location in Gurgaon- conveniently to the Metro station . Tina is a great host. She goes out of her way to make her guests comfortable. The villa is as described. We found that the caretaker & his family was new. Although they stayed in their own quarters, outside of the villa, they shared the kitchen with us. Sometimes that caused us a minor inconvenience, but the caretaker was a helpful person overall.
Its a nice location and the hostess is also nice. They don't live there but have domestic help who looks after the place.
As this is their second home and only use it on occasion. Overall the property is not well maintained and has structural issues.
However, Tina is very responsive and accommodating. I think with a little more attention the property could be excellent.
My overall experience, i would have to say, was less than average.
We had an incredible trip in India, and in large part this was due to Tina & Manish's kind hospitality and tips. The place was great. One tip for getting cab service: specify the neighborhood and nearest cross streets.
If we lived in the same city, I would hope to spend more time together - thank you Tina!
Love the place, very nice garden with a kind-hearted assistant who stays in the listing, but at the backyard. He will always be there to open the gate for you and if you need any help, he will be there too.
Tina is quick with her response, when I informed her that we are not getting hot water for our shower, she immediately got her assistant to teach us how to switch the heater on. :)
Easy place to stay. Lovely yard, convenient to getting around Gurgaon.
Hare Ram, the housekeeper, will float in and out of the home while you are there. He is around to answer questions, such as how to light the stove. He will also let you in and out of the gate whenever you come or go.
The neighborhood is safe and convenient to the offices in Gurgaon. We were comfortable walking around each morning and arriving late at night. There is a convenience store about a 10 minute walk away.
Thank you for everything Tina!
Tina's villa was perfect. Everything was kept very clean, the yard was great for evenings to relax with a couple friends and the house was always available. She and her husband were fully available to help out if ever needed and the neighborhood was very luxurious :)
Thanks, Tina! I had a fantastic time!
Tina's villa is amazing. From the manicured front lawn, to the large bathroom, to the impressive and wildly comfortable bedroom, my experience was perfect.
The housekeeper, Ram, is a really nice guy, and despite us not sharing a common language, were still able to communicate quite well.
I'd suggest chatting with Tina about breakfast in the morning. It's worth it.
