  • We are return guests to this lovely little sanctuary. Similar to our prior visit, we arrive to find the quaint studio immaculate. The bed is super comfortable. The neighborhood is super quiet. Margot keeps the little kitchenette stocked with breakfast treats. Truly, a delightful retreat.

  • Staying at the studio in the trees was like staying with family! Margot has thought of every detail. The studio is immaculate, sunny and modern. The location is near the college and in a beautiful well - kept neighborhood. We hope to visit Eugene again sometime and we will definitely stay at Margot's studio.

  • This was a great place to stay. Margot was very gracious and timely with her communication. The neighborhood was perfectly situated for us- close to campus- and was beautiful and quiet. Her description as "Bright, airy studio in the trees" is spot on. :) It is tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. The homemade scones and the rest of the breakfast provisions were a wonderful treat.
    Thank you Margot!

  • Though I've rented other houses before, this was my first experience with Airbnb, and it was a great one. The studio has great light, and is so well designed for being a small space (though it's certainly larger than the average hotel room). Margot has clearly put a lot of thought into everything a guest might need, from an eating space, to a reading chair, and those wonderful windows everywhere that let in light! The mini fridge was stocked with breakfast items (yogurt, beverages), the freezer had scones ready to bake, and the cabinets held oatmeal, granola, tea and coffee. The studio had a small deck with two chairs so you could sit outside. The deck was on the opposite side away from the main house, so it was also a private space. The house is on a dead end street, and is only a 5 minute drive to the University of Oregon campus. Drives to hiking trails or store were as (or nearly as) short. I initially was a bit trepidatious after learning the studio was over a detached garage, but it wasn't a concern at all. I can't recommend this space highly enough. We loved everything about our visit there.

  • I had a wonderful stay at the Bright and Airy studio! I came to relax and the studio was a great place to do so. The photos don't quite do it justice, it's a very beautiful space. Not to mention, Margot was a wonderful help in planning my mini vacation in Eugene!

  • This wonderful modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable room was WAAAAAY more than my husband and I expected. So many details taken into consideration when they built this little apartment. For example the storage for everything we brought and everything we needed to be comfortable but not cluttering up the room. Lots of windows to let in the bird songs on the soft Eugene breezes. Homemade scones that were a real treat, coffees and teas with all the accoutrements. There were magazines and papers with the local venues and maps. The shower head was the best I have EVER used. My husbands favorite part was the bed, so comfy with white white linens and plenty of pillows. Margot was present but not intrusive, attentive but not overly so. The perfect hostess, in fact. I highly recommend this quiet, pretty accomodation.

About
I'm a retired elementary school principal from Eugene, Oregon. My husband is an architect. One son lives with his wife and young daughter in Brooklyn, NY. Our other son lives in the San Francisco area. Airbnb is a great resource for finding places to stay when we visit our children. We love Eugene, a progressive university town close to the ocean and the mountains, but visiting two vibrant cities is always a pleasure. The diversity, museums, restaurants, and plays are particular attractions. I just love walking in the city, particularly when I'm pushing my granddaughter in her stroller in Brooklyn! Other interests for me include hiking and backpacking, rowing with a crew, reading, movies, theatre, cooking, birding and travel.
