This place was a delight. Sue and Hugo were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and love the area. We would love to visit again for a longer stay. This was our first airbnb and what a gem!
My wife and I had a lovely stay at Sue and Hugo's guest house. The building itself is beautiful inside and out and felt like a home from home. Set in a rural location with great views, it was wonderfully quiet and relaxing. It's an excellent gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.
There's a small but excellently equipped kitchen complete with Sue's homemade muesli and yoghurt! We also made use of the BBQ on a sunny evening.
The only bad thing was that we wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks to Sue and Hugo for being so friendly and welcoming.
This was a wonderful place to stay! It's very private, lot of space and light, beautifully decorated with original art works and great views too. Also the location is excellent; we went to Marlborough Sounds, Nelson and Abel Tasman from here, but you could also visit Golden Bay. Sue & Hugo were really great hosts too. We hope to be back some day!
A NEW ZEALAND HIGHLIGHT ! My wife and I stayed three nights in Sue and Hugo's wonderful modern guest house. Sue and Hugo are the most welcoming hospitable people. The house boasts beautiful views, total privacy, comfort and serenity. Sue's home made yogurt and muesli was a big hit. You'll want to stay AT LEAST three nights.
Sue and Hugo were SO welcoming and friendly !! A lovely couple! A gorgeous, adorable apt. In a beautiful scenic country home. Absolutely wonderful! Homemade muesli and yogurt! Fabulous!
We stayed at Sue and Hugo's B&B for 7 nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. An amazing location, close to Abel Tasman National Park, to the wineries and to Nelson. Awesome views, great facilities and wonderful hosts. We recommend tramping in Abel Tasman NP and pick your own seasonal fruit in Lower Motere area; it is a great experience. Thank you very much Sue and Hugo! We hope to come back.
The guesthouse is a very nice place to stay for a couple of days. The beautiful view is magnificent, it is quit, spacious and modern. Sue and Hugo are wonderful hosts. They arranged some toys for our son and were very welcomming and helpful. If you are traveling by car than we can recommend this nice guesthouse.
Thank you very much, Sue and Hugo, for making us feel at home right away. It was one of the best airbnb accommodation we stayed during our NZ trip and we would love to come back one day :)
Sue and Hugo are the perfect hosts, Extremly friendly, supporting and warm-hearted. We enjoyed talking to them. The place is outstanding and relaxing. We would like to return any time.
Beautiful property, gorgeous views and surroundings, and the most inviting hosts. The guest house is just down some steps from the main house, but it's completely private for both sides. Good size bedroom, nice living room - both with great views and lots of sunlight (weather permitting of course). Kitchen has everything you need (expect a stove, but there is a grill) and the yogurt, granola mix and lemon marmalade that Sue makes is AMAZING. Internet is pretty fast and the shower pressure is awesome. Sue and Hugo provide TONS of information all neatly organized in folders about the area, Abel Tasman, Food in the area, Wine destinations, etc. You really couldn't ask for more in an airbnb property and airbnb hosts. But note it is more rural so there are more buggies: so just make friends with them. Would stay there again in a heartbeat if we're ever back in the Tasman area.
