  • We had our stay in this lovely place from Mar 31-Apr 3. This is the most clean, neat and modern cottage that I ever known. We thought we had to get all spices for our home cooked meal but this place have everything inside, except your own main ingredients ( of course). The host, Jenn; I didnt have a chance to meet up with her in person but she sounded so wonderful on the phone and gave very clear direction on where to go get groceries and some wines. We got lucky with the weather, it was glorious sunshine for the whole time. Words can not describe how happy we felt in the morning to be woken up by the birds(we are city folks), relaxing in the sunken front porch and having our morning coffee.. The Assateagua island is only 15-20 minutes drive, we saw some wild horses and deer and tons of exotic birds. The beach is gorgeous, clean and spans miles of golden sand and clear blue sparkling water. I love the location of this cottage. Needless to say that I wanted to come back, but I would stay longer definitely. Highly recommended for any one that need to get away from bustling city scene.

  • Thank you so much to Jenn and her family for sharing their wonderful Millhaus with us! The home is tastefully appointed and convenient to the state/national parks of Assateague Island and all of the beautiful wild ponies. This is the place to have privacy away from the masses in season while remaining close to the major points of interest. We came in the off-season and found absolute peace and tranquility at the Millhaus. Our family felt at home with the children's books and toys along with the "pack-and-play" crib for our toddler. For three adults and three children, there was more than enough space to share and the kitchen comes equipped with all that one needs to cook up a healthy feast!
This was a wonderful place to spend a weekend in the winter.
Again, thank you Jenn and we hope to come back at some point.

  • The house is perfectly located. A short and easy drive to Assateague, on a residential street. The beds were very comfortable, the bbq was great, the yard good for a family/friends gathering. Ocean City was only 15min away. Rehoboth about 1hr. Not any incredible views, you have to drive or bike to attractions, but lots of space. Picnic table in the back. Not a ton of extras or amenities. Beaches at Assateague are great and the wild horses amazing. We went sea kayaking and strolled the boardwalk in Ocean City. This was a great home base for a wonderful long weekend.

  • We had such a great @ this house. Everything we need was there! Great beds, fully equip kitchen, very clean and bright, tv and a great view! Even had views of wildlife from the front window with our coffee: beautiful Cardinals, a bunny rabbit and a deer ran through the front yard. Loved the beach, which is close by and all the fresh Crabs we ate. thanks so very much ! randy and dirk

  • My wife and I spend A LOT of time between Rehoboth and Ocean City in the summertime. We both have family with whom we usually stay when we visit.

We decided to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary at Millhaus. We LOVED that we were to close to Assateague, our favorite surf spot. The house is simple and clean. It is a peaceful stay. If you like to spend the day at Assateague surfing or just chilling out. You can't beat this house!
