Visiting Scotland means you have got to get to Glasgow, Scotland's largest city has all the hustle you will ever need and our Glasgow apartment sits right on the city doorstep.
The apartment is set within an iconic landmark across the Glasgow skyline, Speirs Wharf represents a magnificent piece of industrial heritage. The apartment is 4 minutes by car into the main city square or you can take a ten minute walk to Sauchiehall street.
In 1989 the development was converted from the warehouse building of Speirs Wharf, forming 150 loft-style residential apartments, a private leisure centre, and 19 commercial units. During the 19th Century, Speirs Wharf was at the hub of Glasgow's industrial revolution, with work commencing on the first phase of its development in 1811. The single building at the entrance to the development was built in 1812 as the offices for Forth & Clyde Navigation Co. In 1851, the City of Glasgow Grain Mills & Stores owned by John Currie & Co followed. Subsequent additions followed between 1869 and 1870. Originally the mills had 20 pairs of mill stones and a 100 horse power condensing engine.
Glasgow remains the city of choice in Scotland, the city has a well deserved reputation and is regularly voted the UK shopping destination outside of London.
