The listing in Lincoln park was exactly what we needed. Extremely close to the red line and close the grocery store. Even quick walks to great restaurants and bars!
Love the feel of the brick wall, definitely a plus since we don't have these in San Francisco.
Perfect spot for a girls trip to Chicago.
We have stayed with Airbnb over 10 times. Our mistake first of all was not reading the reviews more thoroughly. We prefer to rent from an owner who personally occupies the place we will rent. They are far more well attended. That said, I will explain our disappointments.
1. The reservation said #2, it was #3 and the stairs for two seniors with suitcases was not acceptable. The amenities said a parking space on location (not that you had to stay over 10 days, we were staying 6 days).
2. So many unattended items, poor lighting, missing lightbulbs, poor condition of appliances. No spare kitchen garbage bags.
No directions were given for the television, cable or satellite channels.
3. Unacceptable is leftover open bars of soap in the shower. Almost empty hand soap bottles.
4. Too many inconveniences to name all of them. At first glance it is a lovely setting. We loved the neighborhood and walking the streets in a mile in each direction.
That's enough. We could've stayed in a hotel for less. The beds would've been more stable, also.
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The space was exactly what I needed, and in a fantastic location in town. Literally 1 block walk to the Red line L and great supermarket.
The unit was clean, and well air conditioned. I would stay again!
The location was great. Quite neighborhood, close to everything we wanted to be close to! The host was very nice and did call back to text in a timely manor. I wish the place looked as fresh as the pictures. Wish we had know the deck was not attached.
The flat is situated perfectly for exploring the wonderful city of chicago and the neighbourhood.
We stayed there with five people for one week and we felt comfortable in the appartment because it was very clean. We had unit 3 and there was enough space to stay there with the whole family.
Aditionally the garden terrace was fine and a nice place to have a BBQ with friends.
Unfortunately the appartment seems to be ment for max. four people, because the equippment was limited. It was extremely diffcult to contact the host and the communication was very impolite. It took the host four days to improve the situation.
very clean apt in a charming and safe neighborhood. only down-side was that the cable didn't work for most of the days we were there.
exactly what we needed. ok with our old dog, recommend.
we will definitely rent with Shannon again!
I enjoyed my stay here. I thought the neighborhood was great and the apartment was more than sufficient for our stay.
Shan was a good host & the place was very comfortable! The only thing was I felt like Shan &/or the maintenance guy kept bugging us & getting in our space. We rented the condo for good money and we expected a bit more privacy.
