Great location. Parking available, but distance varies depending on your luck. Nice bedrooms and kitchen. Bath could use a few updates.

Great area, cool apartment but the water pressure and temperature in the shower was really bad. Also, I have not stayed in a place that didn't provide some of the disposable shampoo and soaps for the shower. It was annoying to have to figure that out. Also, the mgmt was really fast on responding on the fly.

Response from Red:
Hi Eugene. Thanks for the feedback. We provide large bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body wash as it is more environmentally friendly than the small bottles hotels use. Thanks for advising us about the water pressure. We have replaced the shower head and believe the problem is solved. Thanks, Red

Great place to stay. It is as advertised. Clean and orderly with lots of fresh towels. It is easy access to redline and coming from airport could take blue line transfer at Jackson to RedLine and two block walk. I also walked down to Halsted with lots of small retail. Place is in vibrant neighborhood right where DePaul University is located!

This place is a wonderful location! It is right by the public rapid so getting to downtown Chicago wasn't an issue at all. There also seemed to be many places to eat and hangout around the area since it's right by campus, but we didn't explore too much. We had some difficulties at first figuring out how to get into the place and had the alarm go off a couple times, but that could've been our own stupidity! Once we got it down we had no troubles. Finding parking right outside on the street was no problem like Red offered, which was nice. The place itself was cute. We had some issues with linens being what we found "dirty" in the beginning but Red quickly responded and brought us fresh stuff right away! The linens ended up being super soft and beds were comfy. The walls are super thin so you can hear pretty much every movement of your neighbors'. I'm used to living in the city and my apartment is similar with the noise level so it didn't bother me too much. The only other issue we ran into was the water pressure in the shower was very weak. I have super thick hair and trying to rinse the shampoo and conditioner out was quite the challenge. However, for the price, accessibility, and overall quality of the place, I would recommend this listing for a fun friend weekend in the Chicago.

Red is a welcoming, hospitable host but not always available to communicate promptly. The shower has the worst water pressure I've ever had the unfortunate experience of using. The temperatures are also scalding hot or luke warm. It can be noisy on weekends as you are basically on the DePaul campus.

Travel is fun and exciting but can be hard on the wallet. It doesn't have to be that way. Email if you have questions, especially if your requested dates are in the near term and I will do my best to work with you!

Having spent more time than I care to remember in sterile, uninviting hotel rooms, I was initially attracted to vacation rentals as refreshing, and often more affordable, alternatives. What I found were the same white walls and beige furniture or, even worse, cluttered rooms and Aunt Edna's donated dilapidated couch in the living room. Well, welcome to something different. Take a break from your busy schedule by relaxing in clean, inviting rental that that feels enough like home that you're immediately comfortable while being so special you'll look forward to your return. Many of my guests have been back 2 or 3 times, and some have found themselves venturing across the country to check out another Red Hot Vacation Rental.

My places are located in Chicago, Miami Beach and San Francisco. I've lived in all 3 cities and am happy to suggest hidden local gems or recommend the best nearby dry cleaner.
