This preserved with modern touches house is perfectly located on Ellwood Avenue in the historic Original Highlands neighborhood. It was built in 1900 and thoughtfully updated in 2020. Many of the charming, historic elements remain. The location is well suited for guests who would like to walk to local shops, restaurants, and nightlife establishments. The highlands is an eclectic neighborhood with the largest concentration of local businesses in the city, catering to locals and guests.

Street parking is available for guests and readily available. You will enter through the front door via a digital keypad and enter the living room. The living room has seating for 5...one sectional sofa and two chairs. The Smart TV features apps like Prime, Hulu, Netflix and more. Guests are encouraged to use their own log ins to enjoy programming. Beyond the living room is a dining room with comfortable seating for 8 guests.

Directly off the dining room, in the rear of the house, is a well-stocked kitchen. Beyond the kitchen contains a full bathroom with standing shower. This bathroom can be closed off by the kitchen door and then features a bedroom with bathroom element.

The back bedroom with full bathroom has queen bed, closet, and chest of drawers. The back porch is also accessed through this bedroom. You can exit the back door of the bedroom to enter the private backyard space.

From the living room, you can take the staircase to the 2nd floor. At the top of the stairs, you will come to a full bathroom, which serves the two send-floor bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature comfortable memory foam mattresses, tall ceilings, antiques, and historic elements. The middle bedroom has a queen bed while the bedroom at the front of the house has a king bed.

The house is heated and cooled by a central forced-air HVAC system. A small number of guests have experienced warm temperatures on the second floor during the hottest days of the year. We provide standing fans for each bedroom to help cool the space and circulate air. These have proven to provide the comfort most guests require.

The basement is where you can find the laundry room with washer and dryer. We provide laundry pods and dryer sheets for your convenience.

We use a noise monitoring device; It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply listens to the noise level (measured in decibels).

Guest access
Detailed check-in instructions will be sent by e-mail at 3 PM EST the day prior to your arrival and will include information related to parking and property access. Check out is at 10 AM.

We do our best to accommodate all early check-in and late check-out requests. Please contact us the day prior to your scheduled check-in or check-out to discuss. Check-ins before 2 PM and check-outs after 11 AM will have an additional cost.

This property has a strict policy against noise after 10 PM nightly. It is important to us that we are good neighbors and a compliment to the community.

Please review the listing description and photos in detail and let us know if you have any questions. We are happy to help!

Other things to note
You will be renting an entire house. Unlike a hotel, no one is on-site 24/7. If problems arise, we do our best to take action ASAP. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.

Our kitchens are well-equipped to prepare meals and feature all cookware and dining utensils. Basics, such as salt, pepper, and oil, are often on-site. However, we are not always made aware when the last of these items are used. Please check the space before going to the grocery to ensure you have all items necessary for meal preparation.
