THE Island is all you can ask for and more!

Featured on HGTV island hunters.

This is a glamping experience. Prepare for your trip as you would for a tent camping expedition. However, we have many creature comforts including a generator, rain barrel non-potable water, AIR CONDITIONING, infrared fireplace, charcoal grill, propane cook top, and even hot water shower!

This is a pack in/pack out location. Anything you bring with you must be taken off the island. Please be respectful of the marine environment.

Your cleaning fee includes bed linen that is professionally washed and pre-packed for you to bring to the island. The fee also includes a personal greeting by a guide that, if needed, will ferry you to island upon arrival and pickup at departure. If you have a boat or would like to kayak to the island yourself you're welcome to.

We provide 4 sit top kayaks for free. Local kayak and boat rentals are easily accessible to get to and from the island. The rental locations typically charge $50 a day to rent. Yes! That's correct, you have 4 kayaks to use absolutely free. It's kind of like us giving you $200 a day. We want guests to enjoy themselves! Come see what this place is so amazing.

The town and several marinas are just across the Intracoastal waterway if you want to go out for dinner or grab ice, beer, etc. There is a kayak dock right in downtown Swansboro and a town dock if you have a boat.

This is a wild space. There are cactus, ants, mosquitos, oyster, etc. While we keep the area around the cabin “domesticated”, we leave the rest of the island natural. Plan accordingly.

By private we mean we do not rent the island to anyone else during your stay. It is yours exclusively. That said, in North Carolina no one owns the beach or “wet sand” (below the high tide mark). The waterway and shoreline is a resource for all to enjoy. We are also in close proximity to other islands that are part of the state park or privately owned. We have signs posted marking our property but tourists kayaking don't always know which islands are private and which are open for use. This often non-issue as most of our guests just say "Hi," to fellow travelers, then move on their way. We like for guests to know the area and what entails in this unique experience. If you have questions, please ask during your pre trip planning call.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire island and private 40' dock

Tiny Cabin and island are for you and your guests only. No other guests will be on the island.

Other things to note
Linens (top/fitted sheet, pillowcases) provided with lots of pillows. Suggest bringing blankets and/or sleeping bags during the winter months.

No potable water available; that means you need to bring what you will drink and cook with, don't forget extra for the pets.

You will need to bring cookware, flatware, plates, and cups. Either reusable or disposable are fine.

Propane is provided for the cooker.

We provide a full tank of fuel for the generator (2.3 gallons) and spare fuel can that you can refill at the marina.

You will need to bring your own firewood. We do not have restrictions on type; we just don't burn anything from the island.

Some amenities might be restricted or limited during your stay due to weather or other factors. Your local guide will help explain this but if you have questions don't hesitate to ask.

**We know that sometimes plans change for reasons no one can control — including severe weather, travel disruptions, illness, and other unexpected events. Because these circumstances are outside of our control, we’re unable to provide refunds outside of the cancellation policy associated with your reservation.

As an added convenience for our guests, we offer optional trip protection directly through us after booking. This coverage is separate from any travel insurance or protection offered by the booking platform.

Depending on the covered reason, the plan may reimburse up to 100% of eligible trip costs for a covered cancellation before your trip begins, and up to 150% of eligible trip costs for covered interruptions after your trip has started.

We strongly encourage guests to consider adding coverage, especially when traveling during seasons when weather or other unexpected disruptions may affect travel plans. We’re happy to provide the trip protection option after your reservation is confirmed.
