Your health and safety are our top priorities. In addition to our strict cleaning guidelines, we enforce a 24-hour turnover period between guests, giving us extra time to thoroughly clean and sanitize the chalet, significantly reducing the risk of lingering germs.

Downstairs:
The heart of the home features an open kitchen, recently updated and fully stocked for home cooking, ready for your culinary adventures. Gather your group around the dining table with seating for 6. Relax by the warmth of the freestanding gas stove in its dedicated lounge area. Bedroom 1 offers a comfortable king bed and a TV for unwinding. You'll also find a versatile office space with a TV and a queen bed, perfect for flexible sleeping arrangements or a quiet workspace. Plus, there's a Frame TV downstairs for your entertainment. A large bathroom with a tub and a full-size washer and dryer complete this level, adding to your convenience.
Upstairs:
Head up to a dedicated comfort zone. Bedroom 2 has two cozy twin beds, while Bedroom 3 features a plush queen bed for restful nights. Another full bathroom with a tub ensures comfort for all. The spacious loft area is an entertainment hub, boasting a 50-inch TV and a comfy L-shaped couch—ideal for movie nights. Adjacent, a dedicated lounge area offers even more space to unwind with an extra couch and a fun Big Joe bean bag chair. Need to catch up on tasks? A work area with a desk and chair is available for remote work.
Our 2-acre property offers an incredible opportunity to connect with nature. You'll frequently spot graceful deer, playful chipmunks, and a variety of local birds right outside your window. During the summer months, we have experienced bears in the neighborhood. For your safety and theirs, please ensure all food is kept securely inside the house and exercise caution if you're exploring the property at night or before dawn.
For your outdoor cooking needs, we provide a grill. While we don't supply propane, there's usually a tank available for easy swapping.
We welcome your furry family members to join your Colorado Airbnb adventure! A $50 per stay pet fee covers the additional cleaning needed to keep our chalet pristine. Simply add your pet to your reservation. To ensure everyone's comfort, we kindly ask that pets stay off beds and furniture and if you know they are excessive shedders please vacuum a few times during your stay. When outside, please keep them on leashes, as our property is often bustling with local wildlife.
Our charming chalet operates on well water, a septic system, and county electricity, embracing the natural rhythms of mountain living. We appreciate your mindful use of these resources during your stay
Our chalet's strategic location is a true highlight. Just a 15 min. drive away, you'll find Monarch Mountain. The famous Mount Princeton Hot Springs are 30 min. away, offering natural mineral-rich pools where you can soak away your worries under the vast Colorado sky. We also have a local indoor hot springs pool at the Salida Aquatic Center.

Safeway, Natural Grocer's, Walmart, and Lagrees are the local grocery stores. Stores have a bring your own bag policy. We have bags available.
Our home is in a rural area with lots of wildlife. Birdwatching is great from the windows, and you’ll often see chipmunks, deer and bunnies in the yard. Bears are common in the neighborhood so it’s important to take precautions when it comes to your pets and food/trash.
We do not provide propane for the grill but there is a tank available to swap.
