An enchanting, quiet and cozy 4 season retreat on the Bruce Trail nestled in the escarpment atop Beaver Valley. The property consists of two buildings – a main chalet and a bunkie. The two buildings are connected by a large deck that has outdoor furniture and a BBQ. This chalet and bunkie offer a comfortable base for daily adventuring, or a stay put retreat. This spot is ideal for a family, a couple, or an individual looking for a getaway.

The space
The bunkie has a king size bed and full bathroom with shower. The main chalet has a loft for sleeping (up to 4) and below is a living room with a pullout queen sofa designed by Sealy mattress company. It also has a full bathroom with shower.

The property has approximately five acres of land with cut trails leading to varied spots; a picnic table for lunch, a hammock for afternoon naps, and 'Big Rock' for sipping your morning coffee. There is a little field to play soccer or badminton. The property also comes with a wood burning barrel sauna, archery, and a tire swing. You can hike the Bruce Trail from your front door. A great place to bring bicycles and explore the nearby towns with local bakeries, shops and galleries. Visit Duncan Caves a short drive or bicycle ride away. Bring bathing suits to dunk into the Beaver River, Hogg’s Falls or visit nearby beaches.

In winter enjoy the toboggan hill on the property or feel free to bring your cross country skis and explore on site or there are groomed trails nearby. There is also downhill skiing nearby. We have sleds and snow shoes available for use.

The property does not have WIFI at this time. We have had difficulty finding a carrier for the area. We have a TV that can be setup in the main living room with HDMI cord to attach to laptop for watching movies etc. There is no cable TV.

More information is provided to guests in a guide and rules booklet by email prior to arrival date, including important things to know about the property and places nearby.

Guest access
The entire property is for rent including both buildings.

Other things to note
We are on septic and the water is from a well so we ask our guests to be mindful of flushing and manage with reasonable water use.
