We have been hosting guests for 2-years now and have had wonderful experiences. We love to travel and love our city and will go to great lengths to ensure you enjoy your stay in San Francisco. You won't find a nicer home with a better location.
We'd love to host you in our beautiful 4-bedroom, 1500 square foot, top floor Edwardian apartment. When we are in town we rent out the Garden Lovers Retreat for as little as $69 a night (varies by season and night). The entire flat is $400 a night (about $100 per room). When we are away we can combine any of the 4 rooms with special pricing. We discount for children and for stays of 6 nights or more. Dates when more than just the Garden Lovers Room is available:
June 2 - June 24
July 3 - July 14
July 27 - August 12
While our address is on Castro Street and is just a few doors down from where Harvey Milk lived and worked (where the movie was filmed), it is up a small hill that allows us to be central, but quiet.
The Garden Lovers rooms is in the back of the house and faces the garden with views of downtown. The Room has a new Queen memory foam bed in it and a large closet. The Family Room also faces the garden and has a full-bed and a queen sofa-bed facing the fireplace. Adjoining it is a great room for kids to stay in or two friends with two twin-beds and a chalkboard wall to draw on. On the other side of the flat is the Cool Blue Master Bedroom overlooking Castro Street.
Available for shared use while at Heart of the Castro:
Dining area with seating up to 10
Well appointed kitchen for the serious (or not) cook
Expansive lush garden
Modern washer and dryer in unit
One and a half baths
If you rent the entire flat we will make sure a friend nearby is available to greet you and help if anything goes wrong. If renting a room while we are in town we are likely to invite you to join us for dinners, or to go out and even for our weekly Tuesday Night Game Night Party. We are very social and want to make you feel welcome in San Francisco.
Located on Castro Street between 19th and 20th Streets. Ours is a residential block, just two blocks from the center of the famed Castro District and its stores, restaurants, nightlife, grocery and 24-hr drug store, playground, and Muni underground train station. We're 3 blocks from Dolores Park, which is the best place to enjoy a sunny day in the city.
The world-renowned Castro district is famous for Harvey Milk and Gay nightlife. But the locals know it as the heart of the city, situated at the perfect center. More than a dozen major transit lines run through in every direction, making the entire city an arms reach away. Some of the City's best restaurants, wine bars, parks, bakeries, murals and people watching are here.
Geoff and Craig's place was great!
It's right in the center of Castro, we could literally roll out of bed, walk outside, and be in the heart of Castro.
Unfortunately we didn't get to meet them and their family as they were away on a holiday of their own, but the house was very spacious, clean, and had all the amenities you could need.
I definitely recommend to go to Geoff and Craig's if you're looking for a great accommodation in San Francisco. Geoff has been really helpful before and during our stay, with plenty of good advices. We felt welcomed in their home and had the chance to share some meals with them : Geoff is an amazing cook! And their kids are really friendly.
You can basically go wherever you want in SF pretty easily: their place is next to the Castro metro station, the historic streetcars of the F line and several bus lines. Mission and Dolores Park are just a few blocks away. Before exploring the city, stop by Spike's and have a good coffee + scone/muffins/bagel with locals. We had our breakfast there everyday!
We definitely go back to Geoff and Craig's next time we go to San Francisco!
We had a wonderful stay in the Castro and Geoff and Craig were wonderful hosts. The neighborhood was great for exploring and well-connected via public transportation, and Geoff was always available with helpful suggestions. His detailed guide to San Francisco kept us busy for days! Would recommend to anyone visiting the Bay area.
I spent three beautiful days in SF. The House is perfectly located and thé room was spacious. So closed to all Kind of public transportation. Unfortunately i was a lot outside and I did not spend a lot of time with Geoff and his family. Geoff was very helpful and gave me good tips which improved my journey. A really good first experience in this so nice city and with air bnb .
I stayed for three nights. The place is great! Location location location! The hospitality was as expected and up to standard. I would certainly say this is a place to stay if you do not mind the kids who are well mannered, and leave you alone. Early risers will work well here. I recommend this place for sure.
Very friendly people. I've got lots of informations about the area and about what to do. I asked for some special advises and got also quickly answers and recomondations.
To live in the house is very cosy and nice. And the area is safe and clean and everyone in the shops and cafes and bars is very friendly.
My team and I were really happy to have found Geoff and Craig's place on Airbnb. We didn't get a chance to hang out with them while we were there because we were so busy. But Both Geoff and Craig were understanding of our schedule and we appreciated all their support. I will stay with them. But hopefully next time it will be for vacation rather than work ;)
I had a lovely stay at Geoff's and Craig's, the location was perfect and they were really friendly hosts. They hosted a games night which they invited us to. If you're gay, I'd highly recommend staying at Geoff and Crag's place as there is no place to stay in SF, than in Castro :)
I agree, but the Castro is also a fun centrally located child friendly neighborhood too. Young women who have stayed with us find it very safe walking at night and families who stay here also find it convenient to get anywhere. But, if you are gay there really is no where else you want to be.
Geoff is a great host. On the first night of my arrival, he took me to see a great show. I had a good time. He gave me many great suggestions about where to eat and what to see and do.
His place is ideally located. There are lots of restaurants (I recommend Harvey's), bars and grocery shops just downstairs, a few steps away. It's also only a few blocks away from MUNI Castro station, which makes it so much easier for me to get around in the city, as I do not drive.
Before booking his place, I read a few comments about his "out-of-control" children, and to be honest, I was a bit worried, but it turned out his children were friendly and well-behaved. They didn't bother me at all.
If I go back to SF again, i would definitely stay at his place again.
A very kind and friendly family with a lot of good, useful tips about what to see, do and eat in San Francisco!
Geoff and Craig did everything possible to make us feel welcome and home.
They took their time to give us very useful hints about were to go and what to see.
The room is spacious, the beds are good
The house is just a block from bars, restaurants and cafes. Great location.
We can only recommend Geoff and Craigs' place!
