It is surrounded by Apple, Poplar, Rhododendron, and Arboretum trees. Potatoes, Cabbages, Spinach, and other vegetables also grow around.

It's a wooden cottage located in the serene village Bitchu in lachung, north sikkim.the property is entirely looked after by the owner cum host Mr Ongda. You'll get to see the mountains from all directions, enjoy local lachungpa cuisine, drink millet beer, interact with the locals...go for a walk around the village and many more.

There is a total of 4 guest rooms; 3 with a double bed and an additional single bed in each room. Another is a twin-bedded room. All are spacious and clean with private verandah and an attached English toilet.

A Bhutia, Hishey Lachungpa is an artist by heart and Animator by profession. He loves travelling and trekking, meeting people, sharing local folk stories, love cooking and farming. Hishey was involved at a very young age guiding groups for treks in the Sikkim Himalayas, now father to a beautiful child, Hishey and his wife enjoy a more relaxed life by hosting guests at their beautiful home in Lachung. An excellent cook and a wealth of knowledge in
indigenous plant species, it is a delight to sit with him over a cup of tea.

Food

Hishey offers Homemade Sikkimese organic food. Breakfast as per guest choice like, Alu Paratha, Potato Roll the sikkimese way, Sandwich, Butter Toast, Bread Omelet, Puri Aludum, Pancake etc.

Activities

Dig your own potatoes or pick spinach to make your own dinner or visit the neighbors for a chat over endless cups of tea.

Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley is also known for its waterfalls, pine forests and hot springs.
