Elizabeth's house is amazing - full of period details and charm. The garden is delightful. The location is ideal for both downtown New Haven and points north. Elizabeth was very accommodating and helpful, answering my every request.

The Farnam Guest House turned out to be very picturesque and completely worth it. The room I stayed in was small but very cosy and comfortable (it was the one with the rightmost dormer window). The shared bathroom was immaculately clean and always available. It's in a very peaceful neighborhood with what I think were grad students and their families walking around. I loved staying here!

I stayed at Farnam Guest House for one month while working at Yale. The house is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The Yale Shuttle stops just in front of the house, making it very easy to get to downtown New Haven. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Elizabeth was a very kind and thoughtful host. She was there at the time agreed upon, she made me breakfast at 7am even though her house rules ask for it to be after 7:30am. She would always make sure that I was okay but also give me my space. The house was always clean and warm, and is appropriate for someone who wants a quite place to stay. The location is convenient because the Yale Shuttle is just across the street. Strongly recommended.

I enjoy talking and sharing with people. I was born in China of Christian missionary parents and spent a few years in Taiwan growing up. I taught music 39 years in public elementary and junior high schools in New Jersey, Germany, New York City and Hamden, CT. We came to New Haven in 1973 for my husband to get a masters in Music from Yale University.
I am a believing follower of Jesus and am involved in the community of my church, Trinity Baptist. I emjoy entertaining and teaching women in a Creative Living Bible Study each week. I enjoy reading books, especially scripture, and love to discuss the deeper issues of life.
If you stay with me, we'll enjoy sharing our "journey" together or you can be anonymous too. Either way, I look forward to having you with us. Warm Regards, Elizabeth
