  • Spacious 3 bedroom family flat, with very large kitchen, less than 10 mins walk from Kollowitzplatz in Prenzlauer Berg, a central, family friendly, Berlin neighbourhood directly Northeast of Mitte, with a very relaxed feel. Well connected with tram routes running every 5 mins in several different directions. Great place to stay if you have children as the flat is comfortable, and the kids will have access to lots of toys that Andreas and Carmen are very relaxed about them playing with. Ours often didn't want to go out: footballers, as well as LEGO afficiandos, are well catered for. The flat itself has a nice, family feel, more "lived in" than some we have stayed in through AirBnB, and not designer luxury, but we thought it was exceptionally good value for money: a comfortable 3 bedroom flat in a nice neighbourhood for less than the price of an indifferent hotel room. And if you're into records, Andreas has a serious collection of vinyl.

  • My family had an amazing time staying in Andreas' lovely apartment. The apartment is large, bright and full of great art and a fantastic record collection. We enjoyed the large kitchen table for family dinners, cute balcony for morning coffee and the wonderful collection of toys that kept my son amused. The place is wonderfully located near 3 large playgrounds, countless restaurants and bars, bakeries, grocers, clothing boutiques and transit. It was ideal in every way and I would highly recommend it. Thank you to Andreas and his family for providing such great hospitality - we really felt at home in Berlin.

  • My family and I had a wonderful time at Andreas' place. He was very helpful and thoughtful with the arrangements. When we arrived everything was ready for us and even a bottle of sekt for New Years! The location was central and quiet but there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The apartment itself was perfect for 6 people and we would gladly stay there again. Thanks so much!

  • We stayed 5 people and a baby in this apartment for 3 nights - This was our first time renting a real apartment instead of a hotel room, it's way better. The neighbourhood is calm and cosy with nice restaurants everywhere - Recommended!

  • Having never been to Berlin before, my friends and I had a wonderful introduction to the city, thanks to Andreas and Carmen's lovely apartment.

It's in a fantastic location in Berlin - gorgeously green and very central, yet had a unique vibe of its own.

The apartment itself was just lovely - exactly as in the pictures and just very warm and inviting. Carmen was lovely and told us everything we needed to know - we were always confident that if we had any questions, Carmen or Andreas were just a short phone call away.

Would definitely recommend the apartment, as it's just so much nicer to have access to a kitchen and stay in a lovely family home, as opposed to a sterile hotel room or serviced apartment!!

This will definitely be the place that I stay the next time I'm in Berlin again!

  • Andreas was quick to respond and helpful at every stage of the process. The place was exactly what we expected from the pictures and was perfect for us. Our son loved all the toys to play with and we loved the music collection and piano. The location is in a great district and so close to all the sights. I really wish we could have stayed longer, this city and place deserves more then just 3 days!

  • Fantastic appartment in a great location - lots of really nice restaurants around and less than 10 min by bike/tramway to Alexander platz. Bike rentals/bakery/supermarket just around the corner - very convenient. The place is very cozy and it feels really good to relax at home after a day exploring the city. Ideal for a family or a group of friends as the place can easily sleep 5/6 ppl. Will definitly stay there again when back in Berlin! Thank you again!

The place is super spacious and very cozy - Perfect for relaxing and for have some "at home time" when not out and about in Berlin or the lovely park areas, shops and cafees right around the corner in Prenzlauer berg.

The planning with Andreas and Carmen was smooth and very friendly.

We are four: Carmen, Andreas, Elsa Mare (12) und Lino (9). Eight years ago we moved from Hamburg to Berlin. We're into music, football/soccer and Carmen is heavy into gardening! Carmen works in a schooloffice, me as a TV-producer. We spend most of our spare time cooking, dining, enjoying the nightlife and concerts, or most recently hanging out in our little garden, 20 minutes from our home. We traveled a lot, backpacking and stayed most of the time private with Servas. Now with Elsa and Lino our traveling habits changed, but we still prefer off-places.
