My mum and I had the loveliest stay at Catriona's cottage. It's even more beautiful than the pictures. Catriona and her husband Martin gave us delicious suggestions for several dinners out and helped us pick sights around the area to visit. It's a perfect location for day trips in any direction. We particularly enjoyed a day down in Enniskillen - Castle Coole was a fun place to spend an afternoon. I would also highly recommend just driving around, especially along the scenic routes through the Sperrins. We hope this will be the first of many visits. We truly feel like we have friends now in Greencastle!
This is the loveliest of cottages! Catriona had the fire going for our arrival as well as homemade bread and wine and fruit etc. so welcoming. She was available to meet all our needs and much more. By the time we left, we had enjoyed meeting most of her large family. The cottage is well situated for a longer stay like ours, being a good day trip distance from sights in any direction. Wish we could have stayed on!
Totally loved our time at the cottage - even better than the photos make it look and it is definitely a very cosy cottage. Catriona is an amazing host who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and is willing to help. We loved the extra special touches - Christmas tree, goodies left for us on arrival. Local area is beautiful and well worth a visit - definitely need a car to explore it. In all, an amazing time.
Our stay and experience at the Cottage was amazing! Catriona, Martin and their entire family made us feel very welcomed during our visit during the Christmas holiday. Everything about the Cottage and the accommodations far exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and all the extra effort to ensure that we had a great Christmas away from home! We will hopefully see you again in the future!
Jeff and I loved Catriona's cottage!
What a joy and delight to arrive to delicious, fresh bread & eggs! She also left home made jam, fresh fruit & sweets - all beautifully placed on a gorgeous farm table in a most wonderful kitchen.
There was a delightful peat fire going when we arrived! Truly special - we could have stayed longer then our 3 days!
Catriona is friendly & so welcoming.
Her taste for beauty & decorating is evident. You will not be disappointed. This is a remarkable place.
Catriona could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, clean, all the conveniences and set in a very quiet location with a beautiful back yard, chickens for fresh eggs and a cute bunny rabbit. Catriona heped us to connect with a gentleman who knew something of our ancestry. The little village had a store and a pub both owned by her husband who was also delightful.
The cottage was beautifully appointed with everything you need for self catering. The area is lovely and within a couple of hours drive to all major attractions in the region. Highly recommended. The welcome was warm and the fresh eggs, bread and milk were much appreciated.
