-- The Neighborhood ---------------------
This apartment is in the old historic center of Florence, in the San Lorenzo neighborhood, and situated within a short walk to famous sites such as the Duomo (main cathedral of Florence), Ponte Vecchio, Uffizzi museum, Galleria d'Accademia (where the original statue of David is located), and many more.

The San Lorenzo historic neighborhood where the Medici, once rulers of Tuscany resided, also contains many sites including the palace of Medici Ricardi, the famous Mercato Centrale or Mercato San Lorenzo (the fresh food and Tuscan products market). Also the famous leather and gifts market is right around the corner.
In the same street, via Faenza there are also several restaurants, cafés, ice-cream shops, and a supermarket.

The main bus/train station, Santa Maria Novella, is only a 5-minute walk from this apartment; making it very convenient for a day trip to a village or other towns.

-- The Apartment ---------------------
Decorated in a mix of contemporary and Florentine style. It features one bedroom with a double bed, a large living room and dining room joined as one large space with a comfortable large futon in the living room, a full bathroom with shower, and a kitchenette with many appliances you may need for a comfortable stay but please note that this apartment is not suitable for heavy cooking.

The apartment is on the ground level. So, there is no need to climb up stairs. Also, it is situated on the back side of the building and the windows don't open up to street, so you can enjoy a good night sleep while being in the middle of everything. The small back yard adds another nice feature.

There is also a fee-based parking garage less than 200 m. (600 ft.) from the apartment. So, despite being located in a traffic limited zone, which is how it is in the historic center, access by car is also convenient.

Note: In June 2009 Via Faenza stone re-pavement was finished, as a project to facilitate a pedestrian-only passage between the train station and the Duomo.
