This beautiful apartment is located in a renewed building dated early 1900s, in the historical district named San Lorenzo. It occupies the early stretch of Tiburtina road (one of the historical ancienr Roman roads) starting from Termini railway station and ending at the Verano area. You can reach the Colosseum by walking downhill for less than 20 minutes!
Originally a working-class neighbourhood it has been a popular, left-oriented area. During WWII it was heavily bombed by Allied planes. Maria Montessori's first 3-6 age program was started in San Lorenzo in 1907. Today due to the vicinity of the La Sapienza University, it is increasingly assuming the character of a student and young artist district. Every evening, hundreds of young people descend on the area. Pizzerias, boutiques and other modern places are subsequently replacing the old popular workshops and small markets.
You can reach the historical city centre by using the bus # 492 or the metro A from Vittorio station.
Or you walk to the Coliseum and St. John in Lateran Cathedral within 20 minutes.
You can reach the apartment from the airport by inquiring for a transfer, using the bus from the airport to Termini station or the Leonardo Express direct train from Fiumicino Airport to Termini station, and then walk for 10 minutes.

Smoking is not permitted.
Pets are allowed only if very well behaved, i.e. no pee or pou at home.
Being an apartment in a regular residential building no parties or loud music is allowed at all times.
Beautiful and spacious apartment in Rome within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the metro. We were a little late arriving at the apartment due to complications at the airport but Virginia and Fabio just left the key with the neighbours which made it easy to get in. Great stay and would recommend this to friends!
First of all, I love this appartment and will hopefully stay there again! The place was simply great in every way, the communication was flawless and the hosts really reliable and respectable people. The location is also in a very nice neighborhood in my opinion, but transport not perfect. But my impression is that this is a general problem of rome, so nothing to complain.
Thanks to Virginia and her parents!
