My partner and I and another couple stayed at Hale Tapa and loved it! If you want to go local, this is a place for you. The house is big and comfortable. It rains a lot on this part of the island so you can feel the wetness sometimes inside the house. It is a nice walking distance from uncle Roberts -nice place to get some awa, beer and food. You will be very close to the end of the road (highway) that was wiped out by the lava. At night, if you take a walk to the beach you could see it glowing in the distance. And do Watsu massage with Dwight (owner), you will experience something very special!
